The Ministry of Commerce has recalled nearly 500 Nissan Patrols from 2025 due to a programming problem with their transmission control units. The fault could cause the cars to lose power while driving, which puts drivers at greater risk of accidents.

Owners of these vehicles are encouraged to check if their car is affected and book free repairs as soon as possible to keep everyone safe on the road.

What You Need to Know About the Nissan Patrol Recall?

If you own a 2025 Nissan Patrol, your car might be affected by a recent recall. The Ministry of Commerce said a software glitch in the transmission control unit can cause sudden power loss while pressing the accelerator. This poses a serious safety risk, as it could lead to accidents.

How to Check and What to Do Next?

Drivers with affected vehicles should get in touch with Petromin Corporation, the official Nissan dealer, by calling 8004420010. Repairs are free of charge. Other Recent Car Recalls

This isn't the only big recall this year. Recently, the Ministry has recalled other cars too, including 499 Infiniti QX55 and QX50 models and 112 Nissan Altimas (from 2018 to 2022) due to faulty engine bearings. Engine issues could lead to complete failure and put drivers at risk if the car loses power on the road.

In July 2025, the ministry also recalled over 5,000 Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac cars built between 2021 and 2024 because of engine part faults, and 2,234 BAIC X7 SUVs from 2022 to 2024 for problems with the fuse box that could cause a fire.

About 6,500 units of the Hyundai Genesis (2015-2017 models) were also recalled this year in April. These vehicles were recalled due to the risk of an electrical short circuit.

    Safety Action Extended to Accessories

It’s not just cars on the ministry’s radar. In August 2024, over 13,000 magnetic phone holders for cars were recalled. These holders can become dangerous in a crash if the airbag goes off, as they could hit passengers with force.

    Stay Safe and Stay Updated

The Ministry's prompt action demonstrates its dedication to consumer protection and traffic safety.  Owners of automobiles should always look for recalls related to their models or accessories and promptly get any necessary repairs completed.  Following recall updates helps keep everyone on the road safer and help avoid accidents.
