Kia’s engineers kept versatility a priority. Buyers can pick a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine either as a standard ICE model or with mild-hybrid technology to boost efficiency. The 3-cylinder engine makes 100 hp and 172 Nm of torque. The same engine, when paired with a mild-hybrid system, produces 115 hp and 200 Nm torque.

The transmission choices include a six-speed manual or a smooth seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. This gives drivers the option to focus on fuel economy, power, or both.

Kia’s design idea, “Opposites United,” shapes the Stonic’s fresh look. The updated exterior is bold yet welcoming, stylish yet practical. At the front, Kia’s new Star Map Signature Lighting stands out, making the Stonic easy to spot at night. A sharper grille and stronger bumper make the car look more confident, while the rear gets a redesigned tailgate and updated taillights for a fresh finish.

To make the car more personal, Kia offers two new eye-catching colors: Adventurous Green and Yacht Blue, plus new 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels. The sportier GT-Line trim features exclusive 17-inch alloys that give it a more striking road presence.

An Interior That Feels Far More Expensive

Step inside, and the cabin feels like that of a pricier car. The centrepiece is the new panoramic dual display, with two connected 12.3-inch screens offering digital instruments and advanced infotainment. This setup raises the driving experience and sets a higher standard for cars in this category.

Climate control is now managed through the Multimode Touch Display, which replaces the old buttons with a sleek and easy-to-use screen. The driving experience feels more refined thanks to a redesigned steering wheel, a reshaped gear knob, an updated dashboard, and a neater centre console. 

Practical touches like USB-C fast chargers, wireless phone charging, and soft ambient lighting make the cabin well suited to everyday needs.

Staying Connected on the Move

Cars now serve as both a means of transportation and a means of connecting drivers.  By integrating with Kia Connect, the new Stonic offers cloud services, remote operation via the Kia App, and real-time vehicle information. 

The Digital Key, which enables drivers to unlock and start the vehicle using a smartphone or smartwatch, is a noteworthy feature.  Previously exclusive to high-end vehicles, this feature is now accessible for daily use.

Safety That Goes Above and Beyond

The biggest upgrade may be in safety. Kia has packed the new Stonic with driver assistance features rarely seen in smaller vehicles. These include:

• Blind-spot Collision Avoidance Assist with Safe Exit Warning to alert passengers to traffic when opening doors.
• Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 1.5 to spot dangers and help avoid accidents.
• Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control that adjusts speed when approaching bends.
• Highway Driving Assist and Lane Following Assist to keep the car steady on the motorway.

With these systems, Kia makes sure the Stonic is not just stylish or tech-friendly, but also one of the safest in its class.
