• Our drive across the city and highway for a considerable time has given a true flavour of the Magnite. This compact SUV inspires confidence with its overall handling and pleasure driving experience.
• The suspension Mac Pherson strut with lower transverse link at the front and the twin tube telescopic shock absorber at the rear strikes a good balance between comfort and control. Quite capable of absorbing most of the rough roads and even potholes on city roads.
• During some challenging terrains, the Magnite feels slightly firm; however, this isn’t the most common occurrence and doesn’t really impact the driver considerably, and you get through it with rather ease.
• What makes the Nissan nimble SUV is the compact size, along with superb responsive steering for ease of navigation. This could be highly useful during bumper-to-bumper traffic, congested lanes or confined parking spaces.
• The steering is easy, it feels effortless, and so you will feel the minimum effort while driving for longer hours which reduces fatigue and makes driving comfortable.

If you don’t want to spend a lot of money but get all the basics, the SV is your choice.

• Magnite SL (Starting at SAR 77,799): The price jumps significantly with the SL variants, and it is for reasons, as this variant gets some premium features to make your ownership experience stand out. If you’re willing to spend that extra money on the Magnite, then go for the SL variants, where you get quilted leather upholstery, multi-colour ambient lighting, a 360-degree Around View Monitor, and side and curtain airbags, making it a highly loaded vehicle.

Sayarabay Recommends: Since only two variants are available to pick, recommending the Magnite isn’t that difficult for us. Both the variants are well-distinguished in terms of price, and what they’re offered with, and not tough to choose. If you’re a budget-constrained buyer, can manage with a reasonable amount of features, and focus more on the dynamic driving and practicality of everyday commuting, then the SV variant is ideal with considerable savings.

Whereas the Magnite SL is a top-end variant, as expected, fully loaded with everything Nissan has on offer. If you can afford to spend that extra cash and want to get all the premium features, which are far more upgraded, feel a lot more comfortable and luxurious, you should go with this variant. The price is perhaps well justified with the value you’re getting in terms of the best features available, including safety. If we have to pick one, we will go with the SV. Given the price-conscious buyers of this segment, this variant has everything on offer at a much lower price, and hence is our smart pick.

With the compact but sporty SUV, Nissan is promising a value-for-money package with the all-new Magnite, for families looking for a capable, well-equipped SUV at an affordable price point. The Magnite has an impressive road presence, contemporary design, and a lot of useful features, which make it highly appealing to city users and families. The performance is backed by a nicely tuned turbocharged 1.0L engine that has a smooth CVT, ensuring you get a pleasurable driving experience. The ride quality, both on the highway and in everyday city, tries to offer a balance between comfort and control, with nicely responsive steering making navigating through congestion a cakewalk.  

This is further topped by a well-laid-out cabin which feels spacious and highlights practicality with the most useful features that today’s buyers want in this segment. The cabin feels quite premium given the price point of this segment, the quality of the material is certainly upscale and gives you the vibe of the segment about, with a functional, modern digital instrument cluster and wireless connectivity. As expected, this boot space is not the largest considering this is a compact SUV, but the Magnite offers you flexibility to carry bigger luggage when required. So, overall we feel the Magnite is a superbly put-together package for a reasonable price where you’re getting engaging drive, stylish design, and practicality.
