Design & Quality

The cabin is another highlight of this SUV, both in terms of design and quality. You get inside, instantly feel modern and upscale for its price. The highlight is a 15.6-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital driver display that defines the minimalist cabin, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to serve as connectivity. The soft-touch materials, leather seats (Luxury), and aluminium accents enhance the premium feel, though some plastics are hard. The 64-inch panoramic sunroof (Luxury) and Chrome ambient lighting are some other key features that boost the SUV's credentials for premiumness.

Clearly, the cabin is built to handle KSA’s heat, looks quite durable, and it won’t be overstating to say that the interior punches above its price tag, for sure. 

Front Seat

The front seats are plush, with 6/8-way power adjustments with memory and ventilation (Luxury). Lumbar support to keep you comfortable and relaxed during those long drives, and leather upholstery (Luxury) avoids spills and sand. The high seating position provides great visibility, and the adjustable steering column allows you to find the perfect driving spot. On the seat, you feel like you're sitting in a command centre, and ready for adventure.

Electronic Parking Brake

An electronic parking brake with hill-hold assist, tucked into the centre console, makes stopping on inclines or in Jeddah traffic effortless. It pairs with Hill Descent Control for confident off-road descents, a must for KSA’s dunes.

Rear Seat

At the rear too, a lot of attention is paid to make sure the passengers are well taken care of. The T2’s rear seats appear to offer ample legroom (900 mm) and headroom for adults, with a recline function for comfort. The rear AC vents and USB ports keep passengers happy, and fold-flat seats expand cargo space, making it family-friendly for Saudi road trips. Overall, the impression that you get at the back seat is spacious enough for a long journey.

AC Vents

Dual-zone climate control (Luxury) cools the cabin quickly no matter what is the temperature outside, a great deal in the desert, which voice-activated controls via the touchscreen. The Comfort trim gets single-zone AC, but not bad for KSA summers. The rear vents take care of everyone in keeping everyone cool.

Storage Options

Like one might expect in a SUV like this, the storage is generous, with deep door pockets, a center console box, and cupholders for every row. The glovebox is cooled (Luxury) for drinks, and USB ports keep devices charged.

Armrest

The front armrest is a storage bin with cupholders, providing comfort for long drives. The rear armrest (double-cab) includes cupholders, making it practical for passengers. It’s a small touch that makes a big difference on KSA road trips.

Charging Options

There are two USB ports (Type-A, Type-C), a 12V socket, and a wireless charging pad (Luxury). The T2 keeps the phone juiced up on desert adventures.

Boot Space

The T2’s boot size is 450L which should be alright for everyday family needs, be it carrying groceries or weekend gear. After folding the rear seat, it goes up to 1,200L, enough for camping equipment or  those occasional needs of space while on the move. Another standard feature these days is the power tailgate (Luxury) and also the low load height make it easy to pack up, while tie-downs keep cargo secure on bumpy trails.

The T2’s boxy, muscular design radiates its total off-road abilities and suitability. Its size, measuring 4,785 mm of length, 2,006 mm of width and 1,880 mm in height with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, provides a splendid road presence. Its 262 mm ground clearance and 80% high-strength steel chassis easily handle all types of terrain across the Kingdom.

What attracts attention is the sharp front grille, stylish and dynamic LED headlights, and vibrant colours like Sun Orange, which make the SUV distinctive. With skid plates and roof rails, it’s as practical as it is stylish for desert camping or city driving.

Front

The T2’s front appears to be bold, quite suitable for the character of the SUV with a chunky grille flaunting Jetour’s badge and matrix LED headlights that light up dark desert roads. Dynamic turn signals give a modern touch, while the high hood and skid plate hint at its off-road knack. The noticeable fog lamps are nicely located at the bottom, which also provide great visibility in KSA’s dusty conditions

Side

From the side, the T2’s squared-off shape and flared fenders make you believe, rather strongly, that it is a tough, adventurous SUV. The stylish and well sized alloy-wheels provide a superb look for the SUV and ready to take on all-terrain be it sand or pavement. The roof rails double as a luggage rack, perfect for weekend getaways to the Empty Quarter, also the black cladding and chrome accents provide some extra style without overdoing it.

Alloy Wheels

T2 tires feel ready to rock, it has two types of tire sizes: 19-inch alloys (255/55R19) for the Comfort trim and 20-inch alloys (255/50R20) for the Luxury. They are superbly designed for grip on KSA’s diverse surfaces. Similarly, the all-terrain tires handle dunes, gravel, or highways comfortably, and the bold wheel design further boosts the rugged appearance.

Rear

The rear gets sleek LED taillights and a powered tailgate (Luxury) for super easy loading. A rear skid plate and high-mounted spare wheel (optional) underlines its off-road persona

Colors

Choose from six vibrant colors of the T2, including Silver Snow, Night Black, Sun Orange, Sand, Misty Cyan, and Lime Green.

City Performance

In Saudi cities, the T2’s 251-hp turbo engine feels worthy of fun as well as highly capable, supported by the 7-speed DCT which is a breeze to shift in bumper-to-bumper-traffic. The hybrid’s 375 hp is undoubtedly a lot punchy, and suits perfectly for cities, and makes your driving a lot easier and relaxed. The excellent quality 540-degree camera (Luxury) makes parking super easy, and the light steering and tight turning radius keep it agile, and overall the SUV feels great for city, frankly not much to complain, and what is surprising is the way Chinese automakers come a long way, their car no longer feel inferior to the German or Japanese, not that they are exactly that quality but they are getting close.

Highway Performance

On highways, the T2 is a perfect, peaceful, no-nonsense cruiser. The petrol engine’s 390 Nm of torque makes overtaking effortless, which frankly, we quite enjoyed on the outskirts, and the hybrid’s 610 Nm feels like a rocket, literally! Then, the Drive modes (Eco, Sport) give you that feel for personalization depending on the type of road and what you want. The suspension isn't great but good enough to take care of bumps for smooth drives.

Ride and Handling

The quality of ride is very much determined by the multi-link rear suspension and AWD (petrol) which assures you the feel of a completely easy ride across all types of KSA’s roads and trails. The 262 mm ground clearance and locking differential come into play at times when you’re tackling dunes, while all-terrain tires grip tight and give you those fun driving elements.

The hybrid’s FWD limits off-road ability but impresses on pavement. The steering feels a lot lighter, I think most OEMs these days make sure of it, the Jetour is not different, it looks accurate, but at high speeds it may feel a little noise, but not a bigger deal. Overall, this rugged and strong SUV gives an impression of solid and fun, whether on sand or city roads.

All of this suggests that it combines great style and tech, and if you’re on a tight budget but want the off-road capable SUV, then you should consider this as your best pick

Jetour T2 Luxury

Priced at SAR 139,999–145,000, the Luxury as the name suggests comes loaded with high-end, premium features making your SUV experience grand. This comprises 6 airbags, 20-inch wheels, a 540-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, Sony audio, ADAS, ventilated seats, and the 375 hp hybrid option. And, so if you have that extra money to splurge, then don’t compromise, rather go for this top-end model, and so you don’t miss out on anything, and have a great ownership experience. 

Sayarabay Recommendation: Not much hard to choose given that only two choices are available, and so buyers won’t find it that complicated. And, so our recommend is the Luxury as it fill  the sweet spot, where Jetour is offering really compelling combination of best tech, safety, and the hybrid option for fuel savings (these days hybrid become a go to for a lot of buyers, and the sales growth indicates exactly that, and not many SUV offers that, which is a plus for the T2).

If you’re looking for a capable mid-size SUV but also a sensible buy, and a Chinese brand is okay for you, then the T2 is your great option. Test drive at Jetour showrooms in Riyadh or Jeddah, and get a feel for yourself.

Of late, the focus of Chinese OEMs on the Middle East has altered the automotive scene.
