Jetour T1 Expert Review
Team SayaraBay says
The Jetour T1 is a strong and rugged compact SUV with some serious off-road capability, with a design that sets it apart in the market with sustainable Turbo petrol technologies that make it quite compelling in the KSA compact SUV market right now. The Jetour brand is positioning T1 as a true adventurer for families and city explorers. The SUV combines distinctive exterior design, advanced features, and competent performance with the capability to take on diverse terrains. Packed with a 2L turbocharged petrol engine with a turbo petrol system, it churns out a combined power of 258 hp and paired with a dual-clutch transmission (DCT), the T1 promises a superior balance of power and fuel efficiency. Available in the price range of SAR 114,000 - 130,000, and rivals top brands including the Toyota Corolla Cross, Honda HR-V, and Nissan X-Trail. The T1 has some key characteristics that make it a perfect choice, like a spacious cabin, advanced tech and robust off-roading abilities. It is here to offer you a great driving experience and also reliable performance at a reasonable ownership cost.
Interior
Design & Quality
To summarise the interior of the Jetour T1, it is a superb balance between practicality, modern design, and premium comfort tailored to Saudi families and adventurers. The cabin impresses with high-quality materials, despite being a relatively affordable car, which include soft-touch surfaces and leather upholstery, metallic accents that elevate the to a premium level. There are tight panel gaps and durable finishes, underlining Jetour’s commitment to quality and longevity. As with most of the cars today, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, paired with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, attracts attention. It is easy to use and highly responsive, delivering a tech-forward, driver-centric experience, while there are physical buttons, which are known for their intuitive control. Sufficient storage capacity and a clutter-free design make the cabin quite functional, and so highlights the T1 as a compelling choice for diverse driving needs in Saudi Arabia’s cities and off-road driving.
Front Seat
First things first, the front seat of the Jetour T1 is quite comfortable with enough space for an average-sized driver, be it head or shoulder room. And, the driving position is quite high-up, and you feel in charge, with superb visibility, owing to the large windshield and slim A-pillars. The 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support can be personalised as per the driver’s choice and physical needs, which helps when you’re drivng long hours. Features like heated and ventilated seats help effectively manage Saudi Arabia’s extreme climate. Despite a competitive price, the car gets premium leather upholstery, giving it a luxury touch, while the leather-wrapped, tilt-and-telescopic multifunction steering wheel supports excellent posture. Importantly, we noticed the seats’ supportive cushioning reduces fatigue, and which makes the T1 well-suited for extended drives across varied Saudi terrains, mixing comfort and practicality in a competitive SUV package
Electronic Parking Brake
The T1 features an electronic parking brake (EPB) as standard, replacing the traditional handbrake to free up cabin space and improve convenience. And what is also interesting is that the EFB is nicely combined with hill-start assist, which is a great help in stop-and-go traffic in cities or even steep inclines in hilly regions. And the placement is such that it is located near the centre console, and so keeps the cabin clean.
Rear Seat
The T1’s second row offers generous legroom, headroom, and shoulder space, comfortably seating three adults, and the SUV is quite family-friendly. The bench seat has sliding and reclining functions that provide much needed flexibility, and with dual-zone climate control and rear air vents is vital comfort mainly during intense heat. The second row’s flat floor is such that we felt it would help in better passenger comfort, and also, the ISOFIX anchors are useful for families with kids. This is a compact SUV, and so just a five-seater, and so there is no third-row option, which means it has a spacious cabin and also enough cargo space that families will find quite useful
AC Vents
The T1’s dual-zone automatic climate control system seems to be quite highly powered, as we experienced that the cooling is excellent. Both front and rear AC vents can handle Saudi Arabia’s tough and intense temperatures. The digital climate control’s access is provided through the centre touch screen, which is easy to use and allows you to set up precise adjustments, and similarly, the rear vents take care of the passenger’s comfort.
Storage Options
You will find the cabin of the T1 not only feels premium but also has a lot of practicality built in, as families or individuals needs enough space to keep stuff. The centre console is deep enough to accommodate tablets or water bottles, while door-mounted cubbies and an in-dash shelf hold smaller items like phones or keys. It is quite visible across the cabin that there have been enough thoughts in designing the cabin to provide solutions to keep the interior well organised, and families and users will appreciate the well-laid-out storage place. Also, each door panel features a 1-litre bottle holder, ensuring adequate water storage during trips.
Armrest
The padded centre armrest provides comfort for the driver and front passenger, and comes in handy as a storage compartment for small items like wallets or chargers. Its simple design supports a relaxed driving posture with easy access to controls, as well as the case with rear armrest.
Charging Options
The T1 cabin has multiple USB ports (including USB-C), a wireless charging pad, and a 12V socket, ensuring connectivity for smartphones, tablets, and other devices. The wireless charging pad, located in the centre console, helps you keep cables away and maintain a clutter-free cabin. These charging points are also a great help for families when a larger number of passengers are travelling together.
Boot Space
The T1 offers approximately 500 litres of cargo space with all seats up, sufficient for daily needs like groceries or sports gear. Folding the second row creates a flat load area, expanding capacity to around 1,500 litres, ideal for family vacations or camping. The power tailgate (Luxury trim) and low liftover height enhance accessibility, while roof rails provide extra cargo-carrying options. Compared to rivals like the Toyota Corolla Cross or Honda HR-V, the T1’s boot space is competitive, offering practicality for Saudi drivers balancing utility and style.

The 2025 Jetour T1 has this unique boxy exterior design, inspired by classic off-roaders, with sleek lines and premium accents, which not only looks rugged but also modern, and easily singled out due to its special look. With a length of 4,672 mm width and height of 2,011 mm, and 1,921 mm, respectively, the T1 is a perfect compact SUV, with solid road presence, and could be a perfect city car for daily commuting and with this built quality, an off-roader too. With 210 mm ground clearance, this SUV is quite suitable to navigate sandy dunes or rocky trails, and equally exciting and stable on the highways.
Front
There isn’t any difference of opinion among our team to call the T1 front a bold, rectangular grille with vertical slats, which exhibits strength and boosts airflow for engine cooling in Saudi Arabia’s extreme heat. The stylish LED headlights with integrated Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) are part of the appealing design, they are bright and shiny, ease nighttime driving and desert sandstorms. The standard fog lights also help improve safety in low-visibility conditions, such as early morning mist, and with the curved hood and rugged bumper design, highlight the T1’s adventurous character, which makes it a perfect pick for city and off-roading.
Side
From the side, you can see a boxy, muscular design with clean lines and off-road-inspired elements. What also makes it look attractive and adds premium touches is the body-colored door handles and power-folding side mirrors with integrated turn signals. Similarly, the black cladding along the lower body protects against minor impacts on trails. The standard roof rails add practicality for carrying extra cargo for some special needs, also the shark-fin antenna adds to the aerodynamics, nicely blending into the T1’s strong and well-refined exterior design.
Alloy Wheels
The T1’s alloy wheels come in 18-inch and 20-inch sizes, quite suitable to offer a balance between style and performance. The Comfort gets 18-inch wheels with 235/60R18 tires for reliable grip on city and off-road driving. The Luxury trim’s 20-inch multi-spoke wheels with 255/50R20 tires not only give a stylish and sporty look, but also improve the stability on highways or gravel paths. Jetour’s wheel designs complement the T1’s overall strong and rugged exterior of the SUV.
Rear
Like the front and side profile, the rear of the T1 is functional and stylish, and the glossy, sleek LED tail lights attract attention. A subtle rear spoiler not only boosts aerodynamics, the rugged rear bumper with silver skid plate accents highlights the SUV's off-road capability. The power tailgate, standard on the Luxury trim, eases loading cargo, and families will admire it, especially during long road trips or outdoor adventures. Reflectors and a rear fog lamp are provided for better visibility in adverse conditions, ensuring the T1’s rear design remains practical and stylish.
Colors

City Performance
Taking the T1 into the city and driving across all real-life conditions was super cool, smooth, and we received efficient performance, with the super-responsive power delivery from its turbo petrol powertrain. The engine is not exactly great, but the credit is due to Jetour for refining it brilliantly with the 258 hp power kicking in whenever necessary, which is made even more pleasing by the DCT, which is extremely seamless with acceleration, which helps a great deal in stop-and-go traffic. What we also experienced is that the turbo petrol system’s electric mode at low speeds indeed improves the mileage, which would be appreciated by a lot of buyers, as it drops your cost on running the SUV, if you happen to drive for an everyday commute. Also, the four-wheel-drive system is quite an important part of the driving experience, as it provides excellent traction on wet or sandy roads, and the compact size lets you park it easily. Further helped by the 360-degree camera and parking sensors.
Highway Performance
While the city drive was fun, the highway drive was even delightful, simply because of the T1’s key characteristics, including a strong and rugged body, superior aerodynamics and enough power at your disposal. It feels confident to cruise with steady power delivery, and the ride even at high speed smooth ride. The turbo petrol powertrain’s 390 Nm of torque is great for easy overtaking, while the four-wheel-drive system and tuned suspension enhance the overall stability at high speeds. Selecting the right drive modes from Eco and Sport makes your drive even smoother with a choice of Eco, which maximises fuel efficiency for long-distance drives across Saudi Arabia. Given the segment of the SUV, we’re pleasantly surprised that the noise insulation of the cabin significantly reduces road noise, which directly connects to your comfortable and relaxing cabin time, by delivering a comfortable cruising experience. The T1 is quite up to the mark for highway driving for family road trips.
Ride
Being a compact SUV, the T1’s ride quality is quite fulfilling, with a superior balance between comfort and control, no matter the type of road or terrain you’re driving on. This is certainly a strong element of it. The MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension are nicely tuned and provide a good balance of ride comfort and handling stability, suitable for both urban driving and light off-road driving across different conditions. The suspension perfectly absorbs city potholes, highway undulations, and light off-road bumps, and makes the ride smooth. Jetour has managed the body roll quite well, with nice cornering, and the cabin remains quiet, protecting passengers from all kinds of things, including noise, dust, and harsh weather. The turbo petrol powertrain’s seamless transitions enhance refinement, which makes the T1 a balanced SUV, and enhance ride quality.
Handling
Our experience with the Jetour T1 handling has been mixed, confident as it strikes a balanced and engaging driving, which most advanced compact SUV users in Saudi families will find good enough. It's light and precise steering, coupled with a robust four-wheel-drive system, works well to ensure excellent control and traction across almost all types of terrains we encounter in Saudi Arabia. The SUV is equipped with high-quality all-terrain tyres and the driver models help you for comfortable handling. The T1 has performed well across sandy dunes, gravel trails, and paved roads. Its compact size makes it nimble, especially in busy city traffic, and navigating it is rather easy. On winding roads, we noticed suspension and chassis maintain fine composure with minimal body lean, while strong braking performance improves safety and makes you feel confident. The turbo petrol powertrain delivers smooth, highly responsive power delivery, superbly complementing the overall handling dynamics for a comfortable yet capable ride.

The T1 is available in two variants in Saudi Arabia.
- T1 Comfort (SAR 88,300): The base variants, where you get the same 2L turbo petrol (258 hp), 18-inch wheels, 15.6-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, and basic safety features like ABS and airbags. If you can shell out a little extra, then this fully loaded model is a compelling choice too.
Sayarabay Recommends: The T1 Luxury (SAR 108,900) is the recommended choice for most Saudi buyers, and the reasons are pretty simple. It gets a great mix of luxury, technology, and value. The 2L turbo petrol engine is quite good, gives an efficient yet powerful performance, and features including a 15.6-inch touchscreen, leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and several advanced safety features like Blind Spot Monitoring, Adaptive Cruise Control, make it quite contemporary without spending that extra money for such features. Furthermore, the four-wheel-drive system and all-terrain tires are helpful for the overall driving experience across city and highway, but you’re also getting an off-road capable SUV, which makes its quite a multifaceted car, which an serves to your daily drive, family trips and occasional fun adventure trips, all by one single vehicle.
Verdict
This newly arrived compact SUV in the Saudi Arabian market, the Jetour T1, seems to have created quite a buzz, as with an attractive price, it has a lot on offer. It's rugged style, turbo petrol efficiency, and modern technology, which is bolstered by a bold exterior, a high-quality, spacious cabin. Then the luxury is ensured by leather upholstery, and enticingly advanced features such as a 15.6-inch touchscreen and panoramic sunroof, quite attractive to buyers in this segment. When it comes to the performance, the SUV has a strong and refined 2L turbo petrol powertrain, which seems to be suited for Saudi driving conditions, where a strong 258 hp power to navigate all kinds of terrain without compromising the mileage, which is nearly 15 km/L fuel economy. And so this Chinese SUV practically ticks all the right boxes, including power and efficiency, and a perfect everyday drive, good for highway, another key element of off-roading abilities bolstered by four-wheel drive and all-terrain tires. Last but certainly not least are well-equipped safety features, including Adaptive Cruise Control and a 360-degree camera, another key characteristic that buyers evaluate before making a purchase decision, and the T1 excels in that too. So, if you’re just fine trying out a Chinese brand, then this SUV could be a perfect starting point.
