How Initial Quality Study Evaluates Vehicles

The U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS) has now been around for 39 years. It gathers feedback from thousands of people who bought or leased new cars in 2025. The study looks at 223 different problems across nine areas of the vehicle. These areas include vehicle features, entertainment systems, how the car drives, and how well it has been designed.

The detailed report offers valuable insights for car makers. It shows where they can improve to make their vehicles better and increase customer satisfaction.

Nissan's results in this study show its ongoing effort to meet customer needs and keep quality high across its range of vehicles. As the company works to improve both the quality of its cars and the customer experience, it stays focused on delivering products that satisfy buyers and build long-term loyalty.
