2027 Hyundai Tucson Revealed: What to Expect in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia: Hyundai has revealed the new 2027 Tucson. Now the fifth-generation Tucson has become bigger and roomier in every direction. The sharp creases are gone, and it brings boxier family practicality. With more rear-seat space and wider-opening doors, it is easier to use for families, loading cargo, and fitting child safety seats. That makes it a perfect ride for Parents who need a safe, comfortable everyday vehicle and urban commuters.

Design shift and Dimensions 

Gone are the fourth-generation's complex body sides; Hyundai has replaced the older complex body sides with a cleaner, more upright stance. Now it follows the same design language as the  Santa Fe and Palisade. It features daytime running lights that flank a slim horizontal light bar, and pronounced fenders make it look bulkier. An XRT version brings a chunkier grille, black wheel-arch trim, and more aggressive skid plates. 

The new Tucson has grown into a larger, more spacious, and more family-friendly SUV.

Interior and storage

Inside, the dashboard is now wide and horizontal, with a large centre display and a new flat-topped steering wheel. Other Interior highlights include the second wireless phone charger, a card holder beside the driver, and more storage cubbies around the centre console. The dual wireless chargers are a really great addition. The Cargo-area accessories have also been redesigned.

Powertrain and Performance

Hyundai has not confirmed the powertrain choices for the new model. The current US-market Tucson is powered by the 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 187 hp. It goes from 0 to 60 mph within 10.2 seconds. Many older buyers criticise it for being too sluggish. The Hybrid (231 hp) and plug-in hybrid (268 hp) options are also sold there. The engine lineup for the new Tucson for Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC has not been confirmed. Hyundai is expected to reveal more details closer to the regional launch.

Saudi market fit

The Hyundai Tucson rivals the Toyota Corolla Cross, Kia Sportage, and MG RX5 in Saudi Arabia's crowded compact SUV segment. The new fifth-generation Tucson's wider-opening rear doors and added interior storage add more practicality for family buyers. But it will be clearer once the GCC launch and regional specifications are revealed.
