Powertrain and Performance
The new Audi Q5 SUV e-hybrid quattro and the Audi Q5 Sportback e-hybrid quattro are available with two power options: 220 kW (295 hp) and 270 kW (362 hp). Both models are powered by a 2.0 TFSI engine producing 185 kW, combined with an electric motor. The 270 kW versions can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.1 seconds, making them quick and responsive.
The 220 kW models take a bit longer, hitting the 100 kmph mark in 6.2 seconds. Both versions have a top speed of 250 kmph. The cars feature an electrified dual-clutch gearbox paired with quattro ultra-drive, providing a sporty feel without sacrificing comfort.
The new high-voltage battery features cells arranged on two levels inside the Q5 e-hybrid, one above the other. Audi has increased the battery's capacity to 25.9 kWh (with a usable 20.7 kWh), which is roughly 45 per cent more than the previous model. The maximum AC charging power is 11 kW. When fully drained, the battery can be recharged to full in about 2.5 hours.
The vehicle offers two driving modes: EV and hybrid. When in EV mode, the SUV and Sportback run solely on electric power. In hybrid mode, the car's system manages the battery charge to preserve enough electrical energy to be used later. For the first time, you can also set a specific charge level using a digital slider, in addition to the automatic hybrid setting.
Audi has enhanced regenerative braking performance, allowing three different levels of thrust recuperation in EV mode. The vehicle automatically recovers energy based on route data stored in the navigation system. The Audi Q5 SUV e-hybrid quattro and Q5 Sportback e-hybrid quattro can also recover energy without active route guidance.
Equipment Upgrade
The e-hybrid models come with upgraded standard equipment, including S sports suspension and 3-zone automatic comfort air conditioning for the 220 kW power option, and LED headlights plus and LED rear lights pro for the 270 kW power version. The MMI experience plus infotainment system comes standard with the Audi Application Store, smartphone interface, and Audi sound system.
The S line interior package includes sports seats in combination of black leather/artificial leather, red-painted brake calipers and 19-inch ten-arm light-alloy aero wheels. The rear seat bench plus is an added practical feature.
