Abu Dhabi: The Jetour Dashing has quickly become one of the more talked-about compact SUVs in Saudi Arabia. Starting from SAR 66,990, it pairs a sporty, coupe-style design with a large digital cabin and a choice of turbocharged engines. At this price, it undercuts most of its established rivals in the segment.

The Dashing comes in three different variants, including Comfort, Luxury 1.5, and Luxury 1.6 trims.

Engine and Performance

As the variants' names Luxury 1.5 and Luxury 1.6 suggest, the Dashing comes in two different turbocharged petrol engine options. It gives buyers the flexibility to choose whether to go for the efficiency or stronger highway performance depending on their requirement: 

• 1.5L Turbocharged 4-cylinder — 154 hp, 230 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. Comes in both Comfort and Luxury 1.5 trims for daily city driving.
• 1.6L Turbocharged 4-cylinder — Produces 197 hp, 290 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Only available in the top Luxury 1.6 trim and offers noticeably stronger overtaking power on the highway.

Across all of its Dashing trims comes with the front-wheel drive. With the different Economy, Comfort, and Sport drive modes, drivers can also decide on throttle response. The fuel economy sits at around 12.5 km/l, which is pretty good for a turbocharged SUV of this size. The Dashing carries a reasonably comprehensive safety package, especially on higher trims.

It undercuts most established SUV rivals starting from just  SAR 66,990, and offers more advanced tech in comparison to its rivals.
