Kia Begins Tasman Roadshow in Saudi Arabia – Launch Imminent

Saudi Arabia : The pick-up truck offers tough off-road skills while feeling comfortable like a family SUV.

Kia Middle East & Africa has kicked off the Tasman Roadshow in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The introduction of Tasman also marks the brand's first entry into the pickup truck segment. Visitors witnessed bold looks of the SUV, its advanced technology, and unique options for customisation.

Built on 20 years of Kia's off-road experience and military roots, the Tasman is designed for both explorers and professionals. The truck easily fits into various lifestyles, blending durability with everyday ease.

During the roadshow, guests watched how the Tasman performs across different terrains. It showed its ability to handle city streets and rough off-road paths with ease.

2025 Kia Tasman Engine and Specifications

The Tasman will be available in two engine choices. One is a 2.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The other is a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine, which can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The petrol engine delivers 281 hp and 421 Nm of torque. It can go from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.5 seconds. The diesel engine produces 210 hp and 441 Nm of torque, reaching 0 to 100 kph in 10.4 seconds.

The Tasman is built to tackle challenging off-road conditions. It has 252mm of ground clearance and a 32° approach angle, which is the best in its class for the X-Pro version. It can carry up to 1,195 kg and tow as much as 3.5 tonnes. This makes it a strong competitor among midsize pickups.

Kia states that Tasman has been tested thoroughly, taking into account the driving conditions in the Middle East. It went through 1,777 individual tests across 18,000 cycles. These included water wading, towing, off-road testing, and on-road performance checks. This proves it’s tough enough for real off-road work.

• The seats have slimmer backs that help make the most of the 2,214 mm length space. 
• The second row introduces Kia’s first sliding and reclining seats, giving passengers a more comfortable position. 
• On the tech side, it features a large 12.3-inch screen, paired with a smaller 5-inch segment display. 
• There is also a second 12.3-inch infotainment screen, all powered by Kia’s newest software. 
• A premium Harman Kardon sound system provides high-quality audio.
