ROX Adamas: Key Features, Technology and Performance Explained

Saudi Arabia: The ROX Adamas is positioned as a luxury all-terrain SUV. It combines a range-extending electric powertrain with advanced suspension technology, three-row seating, and a technology-focused cabin. In Saudi Arabia, the Adamas is available in both six- and seven-seat configurations, with a starting price of SAR 310,000. The SUV uses a dual-motor full-time four-wheel-drive system and combines electric drive with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder range extender. ROX also equips it with a closed-chamber air suspension, multiple off-road modes and a range of driver assistance systems.

ROX Adamas Performance and Powertrain

The ROX Adamas uses a dual-motor full-time 4WD system producing a combined 350 kW and 740 Nm. The front electric motor develops 150 kW and 340 Nm, while the rear motor produces 200 kW and 400 Nm. Power comes from a 56.01 kWh CATL ternary lithium battery, while a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine works as the range extender. The SUV offers three energy modes: Electric, e-SAVE and Hybrid.

Air Suspension and All-Terrain Capability

One of the main highlights of the ROX Adamas is its air suspension system. The closed-chamber air suspension is standard and provides seven height settings, with a maximum suspension travel of 140 mm. This can lower the vehicle by 15 or 25 mm in High Speed Mode, while Access Assist and Basement Parking Garage Mode lower it by 50 mm. Easy Trunk Loading lowers the rear axle by 60 mm.
For difficult terrain, Recovery Mode raises the vehicle by 80 mm from the standard height, giving the battery pack a listed ground clearance of 324 mm.
The Adamas has a minimum ground clearance of 272 mm, a 27.5-degree approach angle, a 27.9-degree departure angle and a 24.6-degree ramp angle. Its maximum listed wading depth is 770 mm. The SUV also features Dynamic Damping Control (DCC), with Comfort, Standard, Sport, All-terrain and Smart settings.

Off-Road Driving Modes

The Adamas is equipped with dedicated terrain modes covering Road, Mountain, Mud, Sand, Snow and Wading, along with an automatic setting. Its off-road assistance technology includes Off-road Automatic Cruise Control operating between 2 and 15 km/h and Hill Descent Control working between 2 and 35 km/h. The SUV also gets a transparent underbody view and wading-depth detection. These systems are designed to provide additional assistance when driving across different types of terrain.

Six- and Seven-Seat Configurations

The ROX Adamas is offered with two cabin layouts:

Both versions use Nappa leather seats in the first and second rows. The front seats feature power adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The driver gets 12-way power adjustment, while the front passenger seat has 10-way adjustment.

The six-seat version adds several second-row comfort features, including eight-way power adjustment, adjustable headrest wings, one-button comfort mode, leg-rest heating and an eight-point full-back acupressure massage function.
The seven-seat version offers a manually adjustable second row and a Full-bed Mode when the second- and third-row seats are folded. Cargo capacity is listed at 346 litres, increasing to 1,191 litres with the third row folded and up to 2,175 litres with both rear rows folded in the seven-seat version.

Technology-Rich Cabin

Inside, the Adamas features a 15.7-inch 3K central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch multifunction instrument display. The rear also gets a 15.7-inch 3K infotainment screen with five-position power adjustment.

The infotainment system runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and supports Apple CarPlay, smartphone mirroring through CarbitLink, Bluetooth 5.2, and wireless and wired screen mirroring.
A 14-speaker, 7.1-channel surround sound system is included, with cabin acoustic tuning by ARKAMYS.
The SUV also includes four-zone intelligent voice control, multilingual infotainment, and features such as Nap Mode, Camping Mode, Pet Mode, Stealth Mode, Power Retention Mode, and in-car karaoke. The supplied specification sheet lists Arabic and English among the supported infotainment languages, while cockpit voice interaction supports Arabic and English.

Comfort Features for the Middle East

The Adamas gets an automatic three-zone air-conditioning system and a Middle East-exclusive high-power A/C compressor. Front and rear occupants receive dedicated air vents, while a PM2.5 cabin air filter and ionic air purifier are also included. Other comfort features include a heated steering wheel, 256-colour ambient lighting, electric sunshades, a 0–50°C dual-mode cooler/warmer box and a fully flat cabin floor. The SUV also uses heat-insulating laminated glass, with the specification sheet listing 99% UV isolation and 80% infrared isolation for the windshield.

Driver Assistance and Safety

Safety equipment includes front, side and curtain airbags, electronic stability control, ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Hill Hold Control, Traction Control, TPMS and an electric parking brake. The ROX Adamas comes with an extensive ADAS package. Its hardware includes a Horizon Journey 6M chip, three millimetre-wave radars, two 8-megapixel front cameras and multiple surround-view, side-view and rear-view cameras.
