The 2025 ROX 01 is a luxury all-terrain SUV designed by Italian Pininfarina. It was recently launched in Saudi Arabia, receiving over 200 orders on its first day. Here’s a closer look at its design, features, and specifications.

Exterior Design

The ROX 01 showcases luxury and power at first glance. Its exterior has sharp angles and a boxy shape, giving it a bold and commanding look both on city streets and off-road trails. The front features LED headlights and taillights, complemented by a modern "T" shape that adds to its style. 

It rides on 21-inch wheels for motorway driving, or 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tyres for adventures off the beaten track.

Interior Comfort and Convenience

Inside, the ROX 01 stands out for its mix of luxury, technology, and practicality. It’s made to suit different needs, from families to VIPs. The 7-seat version (2-2-3 layout) is perfect for larger families. It offers easy access to the third row and plenty of space for all passengers. 

The 6-seat VIP model (2-2-2 layout) features two top-quality "Captain Chair" seats in the second row. These have heating, cooling, and massage options for extra comfort. 

The cabin uses premium Nappa leather on the seats, door panels, and centre console. Polished wood and metal details add a touch of elegance. Customisable ambient lighting with 256 colors sets the mood, whether you want a calm or lively atmosphere. There’s also a 12.3-inch fully digital LCD instrument panel, giving clear driving information. 

The main control hub is a large 15.7-inch 2K OLED touchscreen that controls most functions. Rear passengers can enjoy a 15.6-inch overhead display, turning the rear seat into a mini cinema.

Engine and Technical Details

The ROX 01 runs on a new hybrid system called Range Extender (EREV). This setup offers a full electric driving experience, without worries about charging range. The vehicle is powered by a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 56 kWh battery. The setup jointly produces 470 hp and 740 Nm torque.

This combination gives the car a total hybrid range of up to 1,115 km and a pure electric range of up to 235 km. 

Off-road performance

This SUV is built to handle challenging terrains. It features advanced systems that deliver reliable results in hard conditions. Its intelligent all-wheel drive automatically spreads power to the wheels for maximum grip, no matter what surface you're on. The air suspension system, equipped with continuously variable dampers, enables you to adjust the vehicle's height as needed. 

With 205mm of ground clearance, the vehicle can easily go over obstacles. It has approach and departure angles of 22.2 and 25.1 degrees, respectively. Special driving modes are available for sand, snow, mud, and ROX terrain, ensuring top performance on all surfaces.

Features for camping and outdoor adventures

For outdoor explorers, there are options like a built-in kitchen system that slides out from the rear. The kitchen has an induction stove for quick, safe cooking and a dedicated space for utensils and supplies. A water dispenser is included to provide fresh drinking water during trips. 

The seats can be folded down to create a flat sleeping area, turning the second and third rows into a comfortable bed for two adults. An optional side awning provides shade and extra space for sitting outside. The vehicle also has a V2L power outlet that uses the battery as a portable power source, capable of up to 2.2 kW.

Safety and security features

Safety is a top focus for this vehicle. It comes with six airbags, electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, and electronic brake force distribution. There is also traction control, adaptive cruise control, hill start assist, and hill descent control. Additional safety aids include exit warning and survival assist, blind spot monitoring, and forward collision alerts. 

The ROX 01 also features automatic emergency braking, forward and rear collision warning and rear cross-traffic alerts. Parking is made easier with sensors at the front and rear, plus a 360-degree camera system connected to the interior mirror for better visibility.
