Saudi Arabia : Jaguar's CEO has revealed exciting details about an upcoming high-performance electric sedan, confirming its power, speed, and commitment to full electrification.

Jaguar's Bold Step Toward an Electric Future

While many automakers are reconsidering their electric vehicle (EV) strategies due to slowing demand and rising competition, Jaguar remains steadfast in its transition to an all-electric lineup. Rodon Glover, CEO of Jaguar, confirmed that the brand will not return to internal combustion or hybrid engines. Instead, it will move forward with a platform designed exclusively for EVs.

“We made the decision in 2021 to design a dedicated electric platform for our cars, and there is no chance of putting a V8 or anything like that,” Glover stated. He remains optimistic about the EV market, believing it will experience significant growth over the next decade.

Unlike some brands adjusting their approach due to market uncertainty, Jaguar is doubling down on its commitment, ensuring its future lineup remains purely electric.

A 986-HP Electric Sedan is Coming

The new electric sedan, expected to be called the I-Type, promises remarkable performance:

Glover described the I-Type as “the most enjoyable car” he has driven during his tenure, highlighting its acceleration, handling, and road presence. He expressed particular amazement at how effortlessly the car delivers power while maintaining a refined and luxurious driving experience.
