OMODA E5 E-Drive

The first thing that makes you take notice of the E5 is its unique design and exterior design elements. In terms of performance OMODA E5 offers a 201 hp electric motor, 340 Nm of torque, and you’re assured of a fast speed of 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 7.2 seconds and touching top speed of 172 km/h. Its 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The SUV is equipped with a dual 12.25-inch HD displays for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, along with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto for seamless connectivity.

The Omoda E5 SUV is coming to the market shortly, and so my curiosity of this Chinese brand increased. Whatever I could gather from it, it looks like the Omoda E5 is an SUV that stands out for its power, range, fast charging, advanced features, spacious cabin and overall design, both exterior and interiors. Now, If the company prices it right, and provides good support, I see no reason for customers won’t like it. Because it has got everything an EV SUV is needed, and so if it is affordable the brand will quickly become popular.

There are so many Chinese brands that offer EVs today that keeping count is hard. But they are all promising in terms of price, features and value of money aspects. The Omoda E5 is one such SUV that has a good amount of practicality, with decent performance number, features and comfort. I think the 61 kWH battery gives you 200 hp of power which is quite enough for daily city driving. If the price is right, I think this car could attract a lot of new buyers, and perhaps myself included. Waiting to check and test it out.

I recently got to know that the Omoda E5 pre-sales booking has started, and assumed it will be available for sale but they have not given any clear date of launch. However, this will not stop my wait, since I’m eagerly looking to check this sleek SUV out in the Kingdom. Apart from the design, what I like about the all-electric SUV is its 61kWh battery, offering 430km of range in a single charge and 201 hp of solid power is just great for this segment.
