OMODA 7

The Omoda 7 is a reasonable option in the crossover SUV in the company segment. I would highlight three key areas of this SUV: a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 156hp of power and a solid 220 Nm of torque. It is ideal for budget customers with both pure petrol and plug-in hybrid variants, offering an electric range of up to 95 kilometers. Then the tech includes a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen and a high-quality Sony audio system, ensuring an enhanced driving experience with modern connectivity features. Good to drive and a lot of space despite compact size.

The Omoda brand has made their entry into the Saudi market, and slowly brings their products, however the Omoda 7 is not yet launched. I think this hybrid model has a quite powerful 1.5L turbocharged engine with 320 hp of power and 510 Nm of torque making it quite a performer. So, I could be given a look once it makes an official entry, because among several Chinese brands, the Omoda is promising a lot and lets see if they could deliver on it, based on feedback from some of my friends, these cars are not that bad.

I would say the Omoda 7 is beautifully designed in recent times, refereeing, radical and extremely futuristic. What I liked about the Omoda 7 is the side profile, sharp aerodynamics and curved design elements. Besides the design, the SUV is also well packed in terms of performance, features, and comfort. This should appeal to younger customers a lot like myself, as they are more open to explore newer brands. I grew up watching cars, and really liked some of the Chinese brands that are making a mark in the auto world with their out of box thinking, design, and features.

I think the Omoda 7 promising 0-100 in less than 8 seconds kinda makes an interesting backed 1.5L turbocharged, supposedly with a battery pack of 19.27 with a range of 95 km of pure electric driving range. With a 320 hp of power and 510 Nm of torque make the Omoda 7 quiet and powerful SUV given it is less than 5m in length. But I’m not really liking the design of this car, looks very average, they could have been more futuristic about the exterior, but guess, they are focusing on shining their EV than ICVs
