Unstoppable Evolution: Land Rover Defender Gets Smarter, Stronger, and Sleeker

Abu Dhabi : Land Rover has remoulded the legendary Defender with new tech, design updates, and extreme off-road power. This is to give it a better, tougher drive.

• They've added new exterior colours, textured accents, and bold lighting designs.

Land Rover’s Defender has once again evolved, and this time with refined touches inside and out, smarter driving tech, and greater personalisation in all body styles (90, 110, and 130).

Defender’s latest updates, from a sleek facelift to rugged functionality, reinforce its image as the go-anywhere 4x4 icon with premium edge.

Refreshed Exterior With Purpose

The Defender lineup now has a cleaner, sharper exterior. What adds a bold signature when lit is the new headlight design, paired with smoked rear lights and standard fog lights.

The bonnet and side vents have a fresh textured pattern for a more rugged feel, with new wheel options including 22-inch Diamond Turned Dark Grey alloys. The standard across the board is Gloss Black Defender-branded wheel caps.

Two standout paint options which are Woolstone Green and Borasco Grey, bring depth and heritage to the range. These tones, which are inspired by natural wonders like the Woolstone waterfall and the historic Borasco mine, help balance toughness with elegance.

Upgraded Interior Tech and Comfort

On the inside, the Land Rover Defender has a large 13.1-inch touchscreen display. They mount it above a repositioned gear shifter to help improve ease of use and give front-seat occupants better command of the infotainment system.

They have redesigned the center console with a sliding compartment that helps hide smaller items, all while keeping storage underneath accessible. Customers who choose the Signature Suite upgrade will enjoy removable side pockets with cable routing or stick with the functional center ‘jump’ seat for more flexibility.

There is a tech boost for driver focus too. A new Driver Attention Monitor uses a front-facing camera to detect signs of fatigue or distraction. This helps trigger visual and audio warnings when needed. It is fully adjustable via the assistance settings.

Added Capability for Off-Roading

• Optional Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control to help enhance comfort when in rough terrain.
• Defender 130 is now available with integrated air compressor for the management of tyre pressure.
• Revised bumpers and grille-bar to help improve form and function.

Defender OCTA: The Performance Pinnacle

Defender OCTA pushes the limits even further. It is built to perform solidly with a 635 PS 4.4‑litre twin‑turbo V8, 6D Dynamics suspension, and Body and Soul Seats. The new Sargasso Blue colour adds a deep sparkle to its presence, and from late 2025, a Patagonia White Matte Wrap will give it a cool, crisp look to some models.

Tough textures are key to the character of the OCTA. A new Textured Graphite finish gives bumpers, bonnet vent inserts, and fender surrounds a matte, metallic edge. There are optional Chopped Carbon Fibre touches inside and out, alongside more wheel, wrap, and colourway choices than ever before.

Accessories and Finishing Touches

Defender’s accessory options have grown even wider with refreshed Explorer, Urban, and Adventure packs. To enhance the look, they gave it blacked-out roof racks, updated bonnet decals, and a rear scuff plate in dark finish, while upgrades like air compressors and winches help back up the style with substance.

The new Defender range, which is now priced from £57,135 OTR in the UK, helps blend tradition and innovation for any terrain.
