Porsche’s All-Electric Macan & Enhanced Taycan Land in Saudi Arabia

SAUDI ARABIA : Samaco Motors, Porsche’s official importer in Saudi Arabia, launched two major EVs—the all-electric Macan and an upgraded Taycan—on October 28 in Riyadh. The launch shows Porsche’s commitment to electric mobility, innovation, and sustainability. It attracted VIPs, media, and Porsche enthusiasts.

The Macan EV: Power, Precision, and Sustainable Luxury

Porsche’s all-electric Macan brings unmatched performance and pioneering technology to the EV space in Saudi Arabia. The Macan has power options up to 470 kW (639 PS) and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup to ensure a thrilling experience on any terrain. 

The Macan 4 version even has a swift acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 220 km/h, while the Macan Turbo rockets from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h.

Fast-Charging for Flexibility

• Charging power:

  Up to 270 kW, meaning it charges from 10%-80% in approximately 21 minutes at compatible stations.

• Broad state-of-charge (SoC) range:

  The Macan battery can recharge rapidly under various weather conditions and state-of-charge levels, thanks to preconditioning tech.

Porsche has emphasized the Macan’s flexibility for everyday use and long journeys, with enhanced battery performance that meets high driving demands. These make it ideal for drivers seeking adventure and efficiency.

Taycan: Power Refined for the Track

The upgraded Taycan model introduces a new standard in power and luxury, particularly with the Turbo GT with Porsche’s Weissach Package. This model reaches 0-100 km/h in 2.2 seconds, edging out the previous Taycan Turbo S by two-tenths of a second. Even more remarkable, it accelerates from 0-200 km/h in just 6.4 seconds, achieving a top speed of 305 km/h.
