New BMW 7 Series LCI Arrives in the Middle East with New Digital Technology

Saudi Arabia: BMW Group Middle East has formally introduced the updated G70 7 Series LCI, confirming Neue Klasse technologies and a new tier of bespoke options for the flagship. The updated BMW 7 Series has made its regional debut in Dubai. It brings a suite of technologies from the company's Neue Klasse concepts to its current flagship sedan. Introduced in September 2026, the LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) model focuses on digital integration and a higher degree of factory customisation. The update introduces BMW's latest Panoramic iDrive with Operating System X and, for the first time, factory-fitted 22-inch wheels.

Regional Launch and Neue Klasse Integration

BMW's Dubai debut brings core technologies from its Neue Klasse concepts into the current flagship sedan for the Middle East. It isn't a ground-up redesign. Instead, the focus is on integrating next-generation systems ahead of their full deployment in future models. This means the G70 gains the digital architecture and battery cell technology previewed in the Neue Klasse concepts. All this makes the brand's most traditional model a testbed for its most forward-looking ideas. 

Panoramic iDrive OS X and Passenger Screen

The updated cabin is defined by the introduction of BMW's Panoramic iDrive with Operating System X and a dedicated screen for the front passenger. Inside, the most significant change is the user interface. The new Panoramic iDrive system, running on Operating System X, is the centrepiece. It's paired with a dedicated Passenger Screen, so the front passenger can interact with navigation and entertainment without distracting the driver. There is also a 31.3-inch BMW Theatre Screen for rear occupants. The system supports 8K content, integrated gaming, and video calls. It is a clear move toward a multi-screen, digitally-led cabin environment, shifting the luxury focus from material finish to system capability.

Bespoke Paint and Factory Wheel Options

The LCI introduces a highly detailed Individual Dual-Finish paint option, shown in Frozen Tanzanite Blue on the lower body with a gloss Tanzanite Blue Metallic upper. Paired with the first-ever availability of 22-inch factory wheels on a 7 Series, the message is clear. It is about a build slot and a story.

Electric Range and Suspension Standard

Electric variants of the 7 Series LCI will use Gen6 cylindrical battery cells, enabling a WLTP range of over 720 km. The adoption of Gen6 cylindrical battery cells allows for a claimed WLTP range exceeding 720 km on a full charge. For a vehicle of this size, that's a considerable figure. BMW also confirms a DC fast-charging time of 28 minutes to get from 10% to 80% state of charge, with a peak charging power of 250 kW. An adaptive two-axle air suspension is also listed as a standard feature across the range.

M Sport Packages and GCC Appeal

The availability of M Sport packages as standard provides a visual signature that resonates strongly with buyers in the Kingdom. The combination of the new, larger wheels and the M Sport styling creates a stronger stance and resonates with buyers across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region.
