SAUDI ARABIA : Hyundai is set to premiere the Ioniq 9 globally this year, following up on the futuristic Seven concept that the brand unveiled three years ago.The new electric SUV will be based on the advanced E-GMP platform of Hyundai. It is similar to the one used in the Ioniq 5 and other upcoming electric models from Kia and Hyundai.

About Hyundai Ioniq 9
As the production variant of the Seven concept, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 will be of a similar size to the Hyundai Palisade. Powered by a 99.8-kWh battery pack, the Ioniq 9 will come in dual-motor (383 hp) and single-motor (203 hp) variants. The brand may also launch the N version, a high-performance variant with a 650 hp dual-motor setup from the Ioniq 5 N. This variant is currently under development.
Influence of the Seven Concept Design
The design of the Ionic 9 is being influenced by the futuristic Seven concept. It boasts innovative features like shape-shifting wheels, glass panels, and unique lights. However, the production version will not have elements like frameless windows and rear suicide doors. However, it is expected to retain a three-row layout, just like the EV9.
Interior and Features
The interiors of the Ionic 9 share certain similarities with the Hyundai Palisade and Santa Fe. It features soft-touch materials, faux wood, aluminum accents, along with multiple digital screens. With physical controls, passengers will be able to control audio and climate features. A touch panel is being integrated to handle less critical features. The gear selector will be a twisting dial located on the steering column, which resembles the Santa Fe.
The Ioniq 9 will most likely be produced at the new EV Metaplant of Hyundai in Georgia. Later this year, it will be globally premiered.
