EXEED RX PHEV Arrives in Saudi Arabia – Sets New Standard for Long-Range PHEVs

EXEED has revealed the new RX PHEV in the Saudi Arabian market. This marks a major step forward in the world of PHEVs. The RX is a versatile SUV with a total range of 1343 km. Built on the M3X hybrid platform and using third-generation PHEV tech, it combines electric efficiency perfect for daily trips with a longer hybrid range suited for intercity driving.

Design and Interior Highlights

The front of the car is bold and has a smooth shape that blends nicely with the sloped roof. It gives off a sporty coupe-SUV feel, with full LED headlights with LED DRLs, 20-inch alloy wheels and LED taillamps. The sharp lines, roof rails and dynamic turn indicators add a stylish touch. 

Inside, the dashboard features two large 12.3-inch touchscreens that handle most of the controls. The cabin is fitted with leather seats and high-quality headrests that feel plush. Other creature comforts include heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, one-button start, front and rear USB ports, an electric tailgate, and wireless charging, among others.

High-energy battery combined with a large 70L fuel tank = Long-distance travel

The main benefit of the RX PHEV is how well its high-capacity battery works with its large fuel tank. It features a special M3P Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate (LMFP) hybrid battery. This battery has a capacity of 19 kWh and provides an all-electric range of 160km.

The battery has improved energy density, safety, and durability. It works well in temperatures from -35°C to 60°C and can handle over 1500 charge cycles. It’s built to last up to 15 years, offering long-term reliability.

The big fuel tank, combined with its efficient hybrid system, helps this SUV cover long distances on a full tank. The 2WD version’s fuel economy is just 5.4L per 100km, while the 4WD model takes 7L per 100 km. This makes RX one of the most fuel-efficient cars in its class. Its large tank and low fuel use mean fewer stops for refuelling, making long trips easier and more convenient.

Setting a new Benchmark for the PHEV Vehicles

The most notable aspect of the new EXEED RX is the level of range it offers. On a complete charge and full tank, the RX PHEV can go over 1343 km under WLTC conditions. Even in tough conditions, it keeps a range of more than 1200 km. It truly lives up to the promise of 1300 km without needing to recharge or refuel. 

This is made possible by its fifth-generation ACTECO hybrid engine, which has a thermal efficiency of 44.5 per cent. It delivers strong power while keeping energy use low. The hybrid system uses a three-speed Super Hybrid DHT transmission to help smooth power delivery and better energy use.

Intelligent AWD System

The RX PHEV also has an advanced all-wheel-drive system that reacts to road conditions in real-time. It can switch between on-demand and full-time AWD. This improves grip and handling on difficult terrain while saving energy. The powerful but efficient drive system helps the SUV stand out for range and driving quality across different situations.

Pricing and Launch

EXEED will be coming up with its first test drive event in Saudi Arabia between June and July. The flagship hybrid will be shown in Riyadh.
