2026 Toyota Sequoia Launched with More Luxury at a Higher Premium

The Toyota Sequoia remains at the forefront of innovation with fresh premium interior features for the 2026 model year. These upgrades give families more reasons to choose this vehicle for a stylish adventure packed with utility, modern tech, and strong performance.

Premium interior updates

Inside, the luxury continues with updates to the top-tier Capstone trim. It now features Shale Premium Textured leather seats. The Limited trim now also comes with leather seats, available in black or grey. The black options have white stitching, while the grey seats are accented with black stitching.

New Exclusive Color

A new colour, Wave Maker, is exclusive to the TRD Pro edition for 2026. This bold shade helps the TRD Pro stand out even more on the road.

Front seat passengers can enjoy a high level of comfort with available leather seats. These soft seats can be electrically adjustable in 10 ways. They also offer built-in massage functions, with options to target both the upper and lower body. Various massage intensities are available, all controlled easily on the handsome 14-inch multimedia screen.

2026 Sequoia Engine and Performance

Every 2026 Sequoia will be powered by a twin-turbo V6 hybrid engine called i-FORCE MAX. It produces 437 hp and 790 Nm of torque. This engine isn’t just powerful; it’s also efficient, helping the vehicle perform well while saving fuel. 

It uniquely combines a motor generator inside the bell housing between the engine and transmission. This setup offers great power and efficiency, built to handle serious work.

Customers will be able to choose between 2WD or part-time 4WD for the SR5 and Limited trims. The more capable 1794, Platinum, TRD Pro, and Capstone models come with standard part-time 4WD. This system uses a transfer case that is controlled with a simple switch on the centre console.

Off-road Ready

Sequoia TRD Pro models and those with the TRD Off-Road package have many off-road improvements. Multi-Terrain Select lets you change settings to manage wheel spin on different surfaces. 

Crawl Control works like a slow-speed cruise control for off-road use, so the driver can focus on steering while the Sequoia keeps a steady speed. Downhill Assist Control helps drivers go down steep hills safely by controlling the vehicle's speed.

TRD Pro and TRD Off-Road package Sequoias include a rear electronic locking differential for better grip in 4WD Low. Multi-Terrain Monitor is also standard, allowing drivers to see nearby obstacles. By pressing a button, the driver can view front, rear, and side camera images on the centre screen.

High-tech Audio Multimedia

Sequoia will be fitted with the latest multimedia system, which was first launched in Tundra. It is headlined by a large 8-inch or available 14-inch touchscreen infotainment. The system offers an enhanced user experience thanks to sight, touch and voice activation. 

With Intelligent Assistant, simple phrases like “Hey Toyota” awaken the system for voice-activated commands to search for directions, find POIs, control audio and cabin temperatures. It also supports standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Toyota Safety Sense Technology

All Sequoia models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, a set of active safety features. This includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, which can spot vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and oncoming cars even in low light or at intersections. At intersections, it can warn the driver and brake automatically if needed. 

The Sequoia also has Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), helping maintain a set distance from other vehicles. Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist warns if the vehicle drifts out of its lane and offers a little steering help. 

Lane Tracing Assist helps keep the vehicle centred on the road. Automatic High Beams switch between high and low headlamps based on traffic conditions. The Road Sign Assist display road signs on the screen. 

Other safety features include Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, which warn of vehicles in blind spots or approaching from behind. Parking Assist with automatic braking helps avoid obstacles while parking.

2026 Toyota Sequoia Price

Starting price is now $64,025, an increase of $1,600 from before. The Limited model goes up from $68,825 to $69,795, an increase of $970. The Capstone edition increases by $520, making its new starting price $84,435.
