Toyota Camry Expert Review
Team SayaraBay says
The Toyota Camry is certainly an icon in the global car industry, and after its commercial launch in the early 80s, this Japanese sedan quickly became the best-selling midsize sedan in the world. Saudi Arabia is clearly not an exception, where the Camry is among the favourites and ranks right at the top in the premium, high-end sedan. Camry has established itself remarkably in the market with characteristics such as reliability, lower maintenance and great mileage, even with a bigger engine, and that's what makes it highly suitable among families. But, in 2025, when the world is captivated by SUVs, Toyota brings its ninth-generation Camry with a bold redesign, hybrid-only powertrains, and the latest tech with its well-known luxurious cabin. But can this legendary Sedan have what it takes to remain popular and continue to draw buyers in this prestigious segment? That’s a good question to ask, even more so today than ever, as the market in KSA is shifting towards different trends. And, to answer, we take the 2025 Carmy for an in-depth review to answer all the questions that you might have, before making a decision.
Interior
Step inside the 2025 Camry, and you get to experience the real extravagant affluence. Practicality is also very much in focus, and honestly, the cabin is here to pamper you for sure.
Design
- The cabin design is catchy and eye-catching, comprising soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door panels.
- The interior is accented by silver or piano-black trim for a modern and refreshing vibe.
- The subtle layout means an uncluttered, intuitive, driver-centric cabin.
- The dual-tone cabin design of black and beige feels welcoming and also contemporary with an airy aesthetic.
Driving Position
- You’re in for a real treat at the driver's seat, get the feel of an elevated yet comfortable driver’s seat for better visibility and comfort.
- The power-adjustable driver’s seat is spacious with enough head and leg room
- You can adjust the steering wheel with the tilt-and-telescopic mechanism for your comfort level
- The windows are large, and slim pillars give you a great outside view
- The cockpit is nicely designed with every aspect given deeper thought, attention to detail makes the design quite distinctive and lavish, comprising touch screen, dashboard, clusters and all types of control.
Passenger Comfort
- The Camry is a premium sedan and is also used as a chauffeur-driven drive, and this is visible in the way luxury meets elegance. And the back seat is the place to be in.
- There are blind folds to keep the sun out, power reclining, for both back seats, a sun roof, third zone climate control, a few basic audio controls and USB-C ports. There is also a power sunshade which is auto-operated, and retracts when in reverse.
- The seats are grand, soft to give the utmost comfort for owners who are driven.
- There is enough space in the cabin for three adults, but two could be way cosy for a longer drive.
- There isn’t a constraint of space with enough legroom and headroom for fatigue-free long drives or city commutes.
- Automatic dual-zone climate control with rear vents for a cool cabin
- The superbly laminated, thick glass on higher trims significantly drops the wind noise for a serene environment.
Storage
- The Camry has always been known as a practical sedan, and this is visible through the amount of space throughout the cabin.
- The standard centre console with easy access from the driver seat comes with a cooled compartment for chilled drinks.
- Door pockets and multiple cup holders to help you keep a water bottle or other essential items neatly.
- The glove box is large enough to keep all varieties of documents and bigger items, no complaints there.
Boot Space
- The 2025 Camry has a sizable boot with approximately 493 litres capacity, which Franky should be fine for everyday needs
- The boot is quite practical and easy to access, allowing you to store large suitcases and big items, as the approach is quick and effortless.
- Then, if you need more, the rear split can be folded for additional cargo space whenever you need, especially when family is with you for a road trip
- Despite the sedan’s sleek design, the boot space is functional, and you don’t have to compromise on the exterior style.
Safety
Toyota’s commitment to safety is always known in the industry, and the 2025 Camry, which gets almost everything one might want, is basically loaded with a comprehensive suite of standard and advanced features.
Toyota Safety Sense (TSS Ver. 3.0) including:
- Pre-Collision System (PCS)
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC)
- Lane Tracing Assist (LTA)
- Lane Departure Alert (LDA)
- Automatic High Beam (AHB)
- Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
- Parking Support Brake (PKSB)
- Safe Exit Assist (SEA)
- Airbags (Driver, Front Passenger, Side & Curtain)
- Panoramic View Camera 360 Degree (PVM)
- Front & Rear Parking Sensors
- Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with Brake Hold function
- 3 Mode Integrated Driving System
Exterior
The new Camry looks a lot similar in shape and size to its predecessor, but it has some sharp curves and more attitude. But there is certainly an improvement, looks a lot smarter in this new facelift with a lot of Lexes around the design.
- Let's start with the all-new sporty and aggressive front look, get Toyota’s new design language called hammerhead with the tib down nose, and the creases are stylish
- The C-shaped DRLs and vertically stacked LED headlights, with their razor-sharp design and auto-levelling feature, deliver stellar nighttime illumination. Hard to miss the inspiration from Lexus on the bumper, especially the diamond-shaped elements on the edge.
- Moving on to the side, it is hard to make a difference between this new one and its older version. But we found it more muscular and gets a smart presence, which isn’t bad at all.
- However, the newly designed 16-18-inch alloy wheels, and the rest of the design is quite familiar with a Chrome ring around the windowline and a little muscular curve going to the back.
- The tail lamp has a little bump in the toot lid and appealing C-Shape taillamps, which are unique to Toyota styling. Like the two exhaust tips on one side and the overall design at the back, it looks appealing, although not changed much.
- The Camry is available in several exterior colours, including Platinum White Pearl MC, Silver ME, Precious Metal, Attitude Black MC, Emotional Red, Precious Bronze, and Dark Blue MC.

Ride and Handling
The impression once you’re on the road is that the driving experience seems familiar, and thus, I knew what was in store. This is very visible, the Toyota DNA, quality engine and overall handling are superb.
- According to Toyota, this new engine is a fifth-generation hybrid system, which gives you more power, which is fine, but you aren’t really set for a sporty experience.
- This engine revs nicely on high speed, and the drive modes come in handy like Eco, Normal and Sport, EV, etc, to choose based on your driving style and road conditions.
- After a considerable kilometre on the odometer, the Camry feel a lot smoother, the car is a lot smoother, which continues to be Camry’s strong USPs.
- The strong, pure hybrid variants are something only Toyota is best at, and it is nearly perfect. It self-charges and works amazingly well with reasonable performance and high mileage, too, certainly no complaint.
- The key highlight of this new generation Camry has to be the refinement, you Toyota seems to have worked hard successfully in offering true luxury car levels.
- Similarly, the cabin is much quieter, sans road or wind noise completely, and feels isolated from all the noise of the city or highway.
- The ride quality is just incredible, thanks to the well-tuned suspension, which is absorbent and very controlled.
- With the ground clearance of 145 mm and 2825 mm of wheelbase, the driver can quite well take on bumps and any speed limiters.
- Body control is good, and steering is sharp, without any issues; a comfortable and luxurious ride is guaranteed

This variant is ideal for families who prefer something more practical and a sedan, and won’t mind shelling out a little extra.
- Camry LE HEV (SAR 120,060): The hybrid version of the LE gives the best mileage one would expect from such a big SUV, and so, turns out quite economical to the driver, helping you shed running costs significantly. Then, of course, you get all the key features for safety, comfort. This is the most valuable money variant in the entire offering.
- Camry Grande (SAR 139,150): Another option for the petrol engine, with higher 18-inch alloys, and more high-end features like a 12.3-inch Combi Meter, JBL audio, and a panoramic roof. A luxurious variant without the hybrid powertrain
- Camry Lumiere HEV (SAR 149,500): As one might expect, this is a top-end, full-spec hybrid that gets everything the automaker has on offer. Since you’re spending a lot, Toyota offers you opulent features like reclining rear seats, a 10-inch HUD, Dinamica upholstery, and the Premium Plus safety package. Perfect for anyone willing to spend the extra bucks for the true luxury of a fully-loaded sedan.
Sayarabay Recommends: Frankly, there is a lot on offer with the 2025 Camry, and if you’re in the market looking for a perfect, high-end sedan, certainly a lot of research is needed to pick the right variants. However, based on our experience with the sedan and thorough review, we think anyone looking for overall high value for their money, along with superior performance and features, the Camry LE HEV (SAR 120,060) is the obvious choice. And, there are several reasons, starting with a proven hybrid powertrain, a promise of superior mileage, which means saving on running costs. In terms of look and feel, this variant gets everything, including 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, and enhanced safety features, and all the comfort and driving experience Camry is known for. The LE HEV balances perfectly between affordability and premium features, without spending a high amount on the top-end Lumiere HEV.
Verdict
The Camry is a great example of practicality, as this sedan does things a lot differently than its peers. This is truly a highly plush luxury sedan, and you’ll find a lot of similarities to Lexus in this sedan, but of course at a much lower price. The Camry always stands out for several of its characteristics; however, with the 2025 updates, Toyota has taken this premium sedan to an all-new level of comfort, safety and elegant cabin. Apart from the regular petrol powertrain, Toyota’s proven hybrid powertrain is a big deal and undoubtedly unique in the segment at a reasonably fair price point. And, despite the growing popularity of SUVs in the expensive, high-end cars, the Camry continues to sway buyers, and along the way triumphs over its limited rivals in the segment. If you’re among those few true high-end and premium sedan admirers and looking to buy one, the Camry is a no-nonsense, easy-to-drive, luxurious sedan; then you’re in for a great treat from Toyota. Overally, the 2025 Toyota Camry bolsters its status as a trend setter and leader in its segment.
