Changan Hunter

I’ve been driving the Changan Hunter for a few months now, and honestly, it’s a solid pickup. The build feels strong, perfect for rough roads. I took it off-road a couple of times, and the high ground clearance and four-wheel drive really helped. The Hunter is surprisingly roomy and comfortable its engine has enough power for city and desert drives. Fuel economy is okay, not great but decent for what it offers. Its value for money vehicle compared to other alternatives, so it feels like good value. The only downside is that service centers are still limited, so I have to plan maintenance carefully.

I had not anticipated that Changan Hunter would be this massive with massive and many tripodal grills and the chrome logo was the highlight of the design, very inspiring and dominating style has made good and true rumors about the Changan Hunter. My friend had bought the Hunter and honestly there was some good reasons but mostly stupid reasons to invest in such a huge pick-up truck. Changan Hunter is the best in off-roading and fuel efficiency but I think it is too expensive for anyone to invest for these reasons plus the bold heading of Changan over the rear side is pathetic.

I’m in the market exploring various pickups available for our business requirements. And Chinese company Changan HUNTER pickup caught my attention. I even went to the dealership to test drive, but not able to do so yet. So, just checked the specification, and the 1.9L diesel engine is tuned to a 6 speed manual and auto options and provides 3500 Nm of massive torque. Not only that but I liked the interior of this pickup with a nice driving position and overall features that are packed.

I think Changan Hunter is selling in the market or to say surviving the market is solely because of the one unique thing that Chanagan did with its payload capacity or easy to say its boot storage, is that it introduced two ways to open the storage, and I could be converted into stairs for easy access to the boot. It has good boot storage capacity of 495kgs. But the best part of Changan is the fully automatic functionality and screen filled dashboard, and that is something new for Indian eyes even though it might be common in other countries.

Changan has only one model for truck segment and it has now introduced two variants, earlier it was limited to one variant with no options to select from. So, it is a good start we have options and can select. Secondly the Hunter Plus is an amazing and solid sell for any type pe market, the exterior profile is beasty and bulky in a good way and it has simple yet fantastic interior appearance but above that, we have superb engine performance and quick steering responsive giving it more edge over any truck in the segment. I think Changan Hunter is a superb.

Changan Hunter is a name I had not heard before but after its launch it was in my auto news feed and then I got to know about the various brands that exist in the market. The Changan Auto has unique logo or symbol which feels more like a batman sign and the Hunter model is a pick-up truck, whose name Hunter totally represent the truck. It is a heavy cc of 2.4T or 1.9T engine option is available to select from and both are capable to produce more than 320 of torque. Although, in terms of interior it lacks everything.
