The Revival of the Mazda CX-3: What to Expect from the 2027 Small SUV

Saudi Arabia: The Mazda CX-3 is making a surprise comeback. Mazda has revealed the first official teaser of the next generation of its smallest crossover. It looks nothing like the outgoing model in the recently shown prototype image and features a more modern design and proportions. 

It is expected to roll out gradually from 2027, built in Thailand. Positioned as the brand's entry point below the CX-30 it would offer a great choice to the buyers looking for a small, stylish Mazda SUV. 

Return, Launch Timeline and Saudi Availability

The current Mazda lineup clearly has a gap at the bottom for a small SUV.  Even the CX-30 became larger and pricier over the years. That's why the revival of the new CX-3 makes sense, filling the gap in the small SUV segment offering an affordable, stylish choice. AutoAlliance Thailand, Mazda’s joint venture plant with Ford, will be building the new CX-3. This would make Thailand a major export hub, supplying Southeast Asian markets first. 

The Saudi Availability and the launch is yet to be confirmed so wait for the official announcement. 

Upcoming Mazda CX-3 Exterior Design

The Mazda CX-3 carries modern Design inspiration from the Mazda CX-30, following the Modern Mazda Kodo design. With the following features: 

• Larger and more prominent front grille
• Slim headlights extending toward the sides
• Longer body proportions
• Taller SUV stance
• More substantial and aerodynamic shape

Expected Timeline for the Saudi Market

The CX-3 has always been an affordable entry point below the CX-30. It will be rivaling the models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and others. The launch in the Kingdom most likely to follow the initial Thailand and Southeast Asia rollout. which could be year 2027 or 2028 based on the previous model launch.
