The British car maker has introduced the all-new Bentayga Speed after nearly two years. The 2026 Bentley Bentayga Speed gets its biggest mechanical update yet. It marks the end of the W12 engines and introduces new, more powerful, and more efficient V8 engines instead.
Performance Gets a Boost
The most noticeable change is replacing the old 6.0-liter V12 with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. It produces 641 hp, about 15 hp more than the W12, and delivers 850 Nm of torque.
Bentley isn't aiming to be the most powerful SUV. Other models like the Aston Martin DBX S, Ferrari Purosangue, and Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid all have over 700 horsepower. However, the new Bentayga Speed focuses on a good balance of power and efficiency.

Better Handling on the Road
Bidding farewell to the heavy V12 engine has cut the SUV’s weight by 43 kg. The vehicle now weighs around 2,465 kg. It can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds. That's half a second faster than before. Its top speed is now rated at 310 kmph.
The handling has become sharper thanks to rear-wheel steering. Some models with big 23-inch wheels are also available with optional carbon ceramic brakes. The suspension system has been improved by 15 per cent, making the ride more stable. The steering response is quicker, while the Akrapovic titanium exhaust setup with four pipes comes as an option.
Enhanced Dynamic Driving Features
The 2026 Bentayga Speed introduces a new ESC Dynamic mode that allows the vehicle to drift. This mode loosens stability control, letting the vehicle slide sideways. It uses torque vectoring to make turns sharper and lets the driver control power on the corner exit during sliding.
ESC Dynamic works with an advanced Sport mode. Bentley says it offers better steering and increases suspension stiffness by 15 per cent. To access ESC Dynamic, buyers need to choose the optional carbon-ceramic brakes. This mode also adds a Launch Control feature, a first of its kind in a Bentayga.

Sporty Look
The Bentayga Speed stands out with darkened trim on the outside. The headlights have a dark tint, and the taillights are finished in grey. Bright Speed badges are placed on the front fenders. The car comes standard with 22-inch wheels, available in silver or dark finishes.
If buyers choose the carbon-ceramic brakes, the car gets 23-inch wheels in grey satin, black, or a mix of black and bright finishing. Both brake types can be painted in seven diverse colours. Buyers can also opt for a black roof, finished in gloss or satin.
Upscale Interior
The Bentayga Speed features a special display in the instrument cluster, along with Speed badges applied on the dashboard, seats and door sills. The seats and door panels feature a new "Precision Diamond" quilted style.
This will be the last Bentley SUV powered only by petrol. The company’s future models will be hybrids, and they are planning to release an all-electric SUV soon. It will be smaller than the current Bentayga.
