Lucid Motors Witness Strong Start with Record Deliveries and Expanded Production
In the first quarter of 2025, Lucid sold 3,109 cars. This marks their fifth straight quarter of high delivery numbers. The number was a bit lower in Saudi Arabia at first because of a system change, but that issue has now been sorted out.
Production is also increasing, with 2,213 cars built at Lucid’s factory in Arizona. The company also said another 600 vehicles are on their way to Saudi Arabia. Those will count towards the total for the second quarter.
Lucid has made Saudi Arabia an important part of its international reach. Last year, it opened its first factory outside the US, called AMP-2, in King Abdullah Economic City near Jeddah. At first, it will send cars from its plant in Casa Grande, Arizona, to be put together in the new factory. Lucid plans to start building entire vehicles at the factory eventually to increase their capacity by 150,000 cars each year.
After sharing its first-quarter results on Tuesday, Lucid confirmed it plans to make 20,000 cars this year. That is more than double the approximately 9,000 cars made in 2024. Right now, Lucid is on pace to deliver about 12,500 vehicles this year. This would be more than the roughly 10,200 cars it delivered last year.
