BMW M Motorsport Launches New Track-Ready M2 Racing for Beginners at A Jaw-Dropping Price

Saudi Arabia : The new M2 Racing has been in development since 2023 and is the successor to the popular M2 CS Racing.

BMW Motorsport has launched the all-new M2 Racing, a track-only car for budding enthusiasts. The entry-level model which promises cheap thrills has been in development since 2023. The new racing car would offer driver and racing teams uncompromising performance, resilience and pure driving pleasure.

Racing Prowess

The new BMW M2 Racing houses an inline 4-cylinder engine, ditching the 6-cylinder one in other cars of the family. The lighter engine puts less stress on the components, allowing the efficient use of the cooling system and the brakes. Here’s the powertrain at a glance.

Racing Electronics

• A DMSB-certified safety roll cage is integrated into the chassis, adhering to the latest FIA regulations.
• The bonnet and boot feature quick-release locks for efficient access.
• Tow rings are strategically located at the front and rear, complying with regulatory requirements.
• The car is equipped with a mechanical differential lock and a separate cooling system.
• The electronics system offers adjustable power levels, including a transport mode.
• A motorsport-specific exhaust system is fitted, complete with a racing catalytic converter.
• The braking system features M Compound brake discs and callipers (G87), along with motorsport-specific brake pads on both the front and rear axles, and a BMW M Motorsport-specific brake air cooling system.
• The suspension is equipped with non-adjustable, motorsport-specific KW shock absorbers, derived from the latest GT3 technology.
• Front and rear adjustable anti-roll bars are specifically designed for motorsport applications.

Exterior highlights

• The M2 comes with sleek LED headlights and a rear fog light for separate use during the rain.
• The car rolls on Goodyear’s 265/660 R18 with a 10x18-inch forged rim painted in matte black.
• Wheel mounting has been done using M14 studs and lug nuts.
• The vehicle features a lightweight roof (CFK).

The car comes with U300 Alpinwhite III body paint.

• The convenience of Motorsport-specific driving modes and 10-stage M Traction Control makes driving a pleasure.
• The M2 Racing also features an adjustable pit speed limiter.

Price and Availability in Saudi Arabia

The base price of the BMW M2 Racing has been set at 111,178 USD or €98,000 (SAR 417,000). There is no information on the launch in the Middle East as of yet.
