Inside, the Mustang combines the well-known retro charm with modern tech that young buyers would prefer. A 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster and 13.2-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen are the highlights of the cockpit, and come with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Ford’s in-house Connectivity Package with Wi-Fi for up to 10 devices (This is massive!). The materials range from cloth in the GT to leather in the GT Premium and micro-suede in the Dark Horse. The new refresh gets you bold seatbelt colours like International Orange and plaid leather inserts (FX Package). After spending considerable time inside the cabin, we are convinced that the interior is built for KSA's heat, the cabin has durable plastics and soft-touch surfaces. If you wish, then Ford offers an option of Recaro seats and a B&O 12-speaker audio system for a greater audio experience. 

Front Seat

The driver’s seat is nothing but luxury for enthusiasts, with 6-way manual adjustments in the GT and 8-way power in the GT Premium. The heated and ventilated seats (GT Premium, Dark Horse) take care of your comfort, especially during extremely hot summers. The flat-bottom steering wheel, wrapped in leather or suede, gives a strong grip, with controls for audio and cruise. The Dark Horse’s Recaro seats hug you during hard cornering. It is fair to say that Mustang’s front seats make every drive feel like a performance event, which is what our impression is. 

Electronic Parking Brake

These days, as a standard, you get an electronic parking brake, but the Ford Mustang offers a special drift brake, which brakes the rear wheels only for a fun and exhilarating track experience.

Rear Seat

The Mustang’s rear seats are tight, with 737 mm of legroom, best for kids or small adults. The 50/50 split-fold seats (coupe) are known for cargo flexibility, but you will find the convertible’s rear is even cosier. The rear passengers get USB ports, but no AC vents. It’s an absolute trade-off that buyers will have to make for the Mustang’s sporty focus, and so the priority is front-seat thrills over rear comfort.

AC Vents

The dual-zone automatic climate control is voice-activated and quite powerful to tackle extreme heat during summers and provide you with absolute comfort. The convertible’s Active Noise Cancellation reduces wind noise with the top down, making open-air drives to Dammam enjoyable. Rear passengers rely on front airflow, which can be a drawback on long trips.

Storage Options

As one might expect, the storage in this sports car is modest but does the job with practicality in focus. There is a centre console, door pockets for 1-litre bottles, and an electronic-locking, sizable glovebox.

Armrest

The front centre armrest doubles as a storage bin with cupholders, adding comfort for long drives. The rear armrest (coupe) includes cupholders but isn’t as plush, reflecting the Mustang’s driver-focused design.

Charging Options

The Mustang has two USB ports (Type-A and Type-C), a 12V socket, and an optional wireless charging pad (GT Premium, Dark Horse). I feel the USB ports are quite useful to keep the phone charged on longer road trips.

Boot Space

The Mustang coupe has nearly 382 litres of trunk space, not big, but it should do the job for your daily or weekend luggage or hauling of golf bags. The convertible has a little less, about 323 litres, due to the space taken up by the folding top. But the coupe’s 50/50 split-fold rear seats create some flexibility for carrying longer items, such as camping gear for desert trips. The trunk’s wide opening and low liftover height make loading easy in busy parking lots.

The 2026 Mustang is a pure muscle car, distinctive, with its 4,811 mm length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,377 mm (coupe) or 1,392 mm (convertible) in height, with a 2,720 mm wheelbase, giving it a perfect road presence with a sort of aggressive appearance. It’s sleek yet aggressive. The relative 140 mm ground clearance keeps it strong on KSA’s roads. You noticed the new sharpened grille,  smoked LED headlights, and  FX Package’s white-hot, attractive styling. And, it is not denying that the Mustang’s special fastback or convertible exterior body language silhouette exhibits performance.

Front

The Mustang’s front end is bold and in-your-face, with a gloss black or Oxford White grille and stylish LED headlights with auto high-beams are clear highlights. The Dark Horse provides a unique grille and hood vents for a track-ready appearance. The LED fog lamps are smaller in size but known for high visibility in early morning drives or occasional dust storms, while the curved hood mark at the V8 power underpins. Side

Rear

The rear has the famous tri-bar LED taillights with sequential turn signals, a clear signal of the Mustang’s rich legacy. The GT and Dark Horse come with quad exhaust tips for an incredibly roaring soundtrack, while the FX Package is offered with optional white-out taillights. A decklid spoiler and rear diffuser provide aerodynamics, and the convertible’s sleek profile appears stunning with the top down. A rearview camera makes parking in tight spots a lot easier. 

Colors

The 2026 Mustang offers 11 vibrant colours in Saudi Arabia, comprising Shadow Black, Oxford White, Race Red, Iconic Silver, Carbonised Gray, Atlas Blue, Vapour Blue, Grabber Blue, Rapid Red, Adriatic Blue Metallic, and Orange Fury Metallic.

City Performance

In Saudi Arabia’s cities, you will find the Mustang’s V8 roar turns heads, but it’s surprisingly a lot better to manage. The 480-hp power of the GT feels delightful, with the 10-speed auto shifting smoothly in traffic. The manual option (GT MT, Dark Horse MT) has that fun element but requires focus in stop-and-go. The 360-degree camera and rear sensors are additional tools to help you park easily. Overall, you will know quickly that the Mustang is a city car, has a lot of convenience and is effortless to drive. 

Highway Performance

On highways, the Mustang is nothing but a beast. The GT’s 486 hp power with active exhaust touches 100 km/h in less than 4.2 seconds (auto), while the Dark Horse’s 500 hp does it in 4.1 seconds. (underlining the speedy character of the car). The 567 Nm of torque makes overtaking effortless, and the MagneRide suspension Dark Horse, optional on GT Premium, easily handles any bumps that the road might throw at it, and ensures a smooth drive. The active exhaust’s rumble brings a smile to your face, and it gives you that special feel of driving something extraordinary. 

Ride and Handling

What makes the driver and handling superb is the  Mustang’s rear-wheel-drive chassis and independent suspension. The GT’s MacPherson front and integral-link rear setup strikes a perfect balance of comfort and sportiness, while the Dark Horse’s adaptive dampers and Torsen differential grip handle corners like a pro racecar. The Drift Brake (GT, Dark Horse) allows you to slide the rear end for fun (use it safely!). We experienced the steering quite smoothly and accurately. Undoubtedly, a great car when it comes to ride and handling, nothing is off, and it is what makes it stand out.

Sayarabay Recommends: Frankly, there is a lot to choose from, as the list of variants is exhaustive, and it is obvious because the Mustang has a lot on offer. And, so without getting confused, considering an average buyer's expectation, we recommend the GT Premium MT. And, while doing so, we feel it has what it takes as a fulfilling ownership experience. Primarily a mixture of power, features, and value, with its 486-hp V8, manual gearbox, and premium tech for a reasonable price of nearly SAR 230,000. The Dark Horse MT is the pick for track-day seekers, while the GT Premium Convertible suits open-air cruisers. Budget buyers should consider the GT MT for pure V8 fun.
