Saudi Arabia: GAC’s new mid-size SUV, the 2026 GAC GS4, has been launched in Saudi Arabia. It is powered by a powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and Level 2 autonomous driving technology to the mid-size SUV segment. The new model pairs its performance-oriented powertrain with a high-tech cabin and a sporty exterior design. It is positioned as a technology-forward contender in the competitive Gulf market.

The GS4 arrives with a strong safety specification built around a Level 2 semi-autonomous driving system. This suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) includes: 

• Adaptive Cruise Control: Maintains a set speed and distance from the vehicle ahead.
• Forward Collision Warning: Alerts the driver to potential frontal collisions.

The seats are finished in perforated leather and use what GAC calls "Zero-Pressure technology," with the front seats also getting ventilation. The driver's seat offers 6-way electrical adjustment. The centre console is a 10.1-inch high-resolution touchscreen that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In front of the driver sits a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Convenience technology includes a 50W wireless phone charging pad, push-button start, and a hands-free Bluetooth system. A 10-speaker Alpine entertainment system and dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents complete the interior package.

Design and Road Presence

The exterior styling of the 2026 GS4 is defined by a sporty, modern aesthetic. The SUV sits on large 20-inch aluminium wheels that fill the arches and contribute to a confident stance. Up front, intelligent LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights create a distinct visual signature. The design incorporates contemporary details like hidden, pop-out door handles and power-folding side mirrors. A large panoramic glass sunroof with an electric sunshade is also included. This gives the GS4 an overall modern, commanding road presence. 

Saudi Market Perspective

GAC has an established dealer presence in the Kingdom. So the primary challenge for the GS4, like many of its Chinese contemporaries, will be long-term resale value. While it offers a compelling set of feature list and powertrain Specifications, the used market in Saudi Arabia still heavily favours established Japanese and Korean brands. The GS4’s tech-forward approach, particularly the Level 2 ADAS, gives it a clear point of difference in a crowded segment.
