Volvo XC70

Volvo has unveiled the all-new XC70, reviving the classic mid-size SUV and its first extended-range plug-in hybrid (PHEV). Designed with Chinese market demands in mind, it offers a segment-leading electric-only range and modern Scandinavian aesthetics.

Launch

The XC70 will be available for order in China later this year. Volvo is exploring additional global markets, with a potential Saudi Arabia launch expected in 2026.

Price

The Volvo XC70 price is yet to be announced officially. We can expect it to start around SAR 220,000 based on segment and technology positioning.

Variants

It will be available in a single flagship extended-range PHEV variant.

Battery Pack, Engine & Range

It is built on the new SMA platform, the XC70 will have a pure electric range of up to 200 km, making it Volvo’s longest-range plug-in hybrid to date. It combines an efficient combustion engine with a powerful electric motor to offer emission-free urban driving and flexible long-distance travel.

Charging

It comes with fast charging capability with enhanced energy management, including an active grille shutter that optimises airflow, cooling and cabin climate for better range.
