Volvo XC60

Given the Volvo XC60’s long list of its competitors in 2025, does this slightly old-school car still feel relevant? Well, with its latest updates over the years, the spec sheet says that the XC60 still has in it to compete with the newer, modern-day cars which are loaded to the T with features.

Volvo XC60 price in KSA is a competitive SAR 210,000 for the base variant. If you want the top trim, you’ll have to shell out SAR 250,000. 

 Variants 

There are a total of Volvo XC60 variants. First you have the B5 Core for SAR 210,000. Then there’s the middle Ultimate Dark trim for SAR 235,000. That, though, is on sale with the 2.0-litre engine. And finally you can buy the top-spec AWD variant, which again, is on sale with the 2.0-litre engine, for SAR 250,000. 

Engine & Performance 

The Volvo XC60 engine can be had in both petrol and diesel. First you have the 2.4-litre diesel one that makes a solid 215HP along with 440Nm. In the petrol trims, the Volvo XC60 makes even more power, at 304HP. The torque though, remains 440Nm. 

In terms of performance, this behemoth can hit 100kmph in just under 7 seconds and the mileage should be just above the 10kmpl mark. Be it everyday, slow speed commuting or driving down the highways at high speeds, the XC60 does both rather effortlessly. 

Safety

For safety, there’s ABS, automatic emergency braking and even blind spot monitoring system, something that’s very useful when riders or drivers behind you drive their vehicle in a spot that you cannot see. On the whole, even the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is built neatly and it works well in the background, keeping you safe as you drive.

The Volvo XC60 specifications list is quite an extensive one. You’ve a touchscreen infotainment system which obviously has Bluetooth connectivity. The Volvo XC60 exterior is what we have come to associate with Volvos. Sharp edges, cuts and creases all around mean the XC60 looks familiar. 

While it’s nothing out of the world, one look will tell you it’s a Volvo. The Volvo XC60 interior, on the other hand, is top notch as well. You have high quality, well-finished seats, a commanding view of the road thanks to the large windshield and on the whole, a cabin that feels premium and upmarket.
