Volvo EC40

The Volvo EC40 is a part of Volvo’s new electric vehicle platform and it seems to be packing a punch, at least on paper. More than 400HP, good looks, solid range and a lot more, the EC40 seems to be great value for the money it asks, and that truly is the case. 

For 2025, the car has a lot of tech on offer, plenty of range and a lot more. 

Volvo EC40 Price in KSA

Volvo EC40 price in KSA starts from SAR 260,000 and goes up to just SAR 270,000 for the top trim. Please note that the aforementioned prices are on-road ones. 

Variants 

There are a total of 2 Volvo EC40 variants on sale, as of now. The all-wheel drive, Twin Plus trim costs SAR 260,000. On the other hand, the top trim, P8 all-wheel drive, will set you back by SAR 270,000. Just an additional SAR 10,000 for the top trim seems like quite a good deal. 

 Motor & Performance 

The Volvo EC40 motor capacity is a 408HP one along with a 79kWh battery. Please note that the car’s single motor variant actually only churns out about 250HP and the 408HP is the top trim. Torque, meanwhile, is rated at a much more impressive 660Nm. As for the top speed, it is just under 200kmph. Finally, the drivetrain is an all-wheel drive one. 

Safety

The Volvo EC40 features a whole suit of safety features. There are obviously disc brakes with ABS, but there’s also an extensive Advanced Driver Assistance System. Google Maps, parking sensors, cameras, lane-keep assist along with a proper cruise control system. Please note that the cruise control is also adaptive, meaning it can dynamically change speeds according to the traffic in front of the car. 

Features & Specifications

The Volvo EC 40 specifications list is a long one. There’s a big touchscreen TFT system with Bluetooth connectivity and it has pretty much anything and everything that you can think of. Right from car play and Apple play to a whole bunch of premium speakers, the car has it all. 

As for the Volvo EC40 exterior, there’s obviously LED lighting all around and an overall design that’s similar to other Volvo cars. Enter the car and you’ll see that the Volvo EC40 interior is just about as nice as well. There’s premium leather where required, and even where there are plastics, they’re soft touch ones  and do not feel cheap or downmarket. On the whole, the finish levels as well as build quality is more than what we’ve come to expect from this segment.

Why choose the Volvo EC40? 

The Volvo EC40 2025 joins the list of excellent Volvo cars. While it is based on a new electric vehicle platform and while that might make some people a bit unsure, we don’t think that caution is necessary here. The EC40 is a brilliantly comfortable car, one that is usable in almost all everyday aspects. So if that’s what you’re looking for and the car falls in your budget, we’d advise you to consider the EC40.
