How much is the 2025 Ford Explorer’s price?
Pricing for the 2025 Ford Explorer starts at an estimated $45,298 (SAR 169,995) for the entry-level XLT trim but rises to as high as $67,923 (SAR 254,898) for the high-performance ST model. It all remains subject to the overall trim configuration and packages you go for. You get a good mix of both worlds with the lower-tier XLT and some higher-end options like the Limited and Platinum trims.
How many variants are there in the 2025 Ford Explorer?
There are six major primary trims that 2025 Ford Explorer offers which include XLT, Limited, Timberline, ST-Line, Platinum, and the sporty ST trim.
From there, the XLT promises to bring great value to families looking for a dependable and well-appointed SUV. Then, its Limited and Platinum trims add the more refined specs that luxury goods comprise, plucked from leather seating and premium sound systems while also dolloping in stacks of new driver-assist tech. Timberline is an off-road enthusiast, while the ST is all about sheer performance, with a powertrain packed with powerful engines and looking sporty.
Which is the most value-for-money variant?
The Limited is perhaps the best compromise between performance, comfort, and price. The 2.3L EcoBoost delivering 300 hp with that kind of punch can take on more than the average driving task while delivering decent fuel economy.
The Limited also builds on some of the key comfort and technology improvements, adding things like leather-trimmed seating, Ford's handy hands-free, foot-activated liftgate, and Co-Pilot 360™ Assist+. For its price, the Limited has a healthy mix of luxury, performance, and advanced protective features without the high costs of the Platinum or ST models.
What features does the 2025 Ford Explorer get?
The 2025 Ford Explorer is loaded with features that have made it an exceptional choice among drivers today. Even the base XLT contains a really enviable suite of technologies. Included herein is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated Apple CarPlay ® and Android Auto™, represented by Ford's Co-Pilot 360™ driver-assistance suite, to tri-zone automatic climate control, keeping the ride comfortable for everyone on board.
More features available on the higher Platinum and ST trims include the addition of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, B&O® Sound System by Bang & Olufsen with 14 speakers, and wireless charging for your devices. In terms of luxury, the Platinum gets massaging front seats that make the long drives very comfortable, while the ST trim gets paddle shifters and sport-tuned suspension.
How spacious is it?
The 2025 Explorer has plenty of room for both passengers and cargo. Offering three rows, it would seat seven people comfortably. In highest trims, second-row captain's chairs keep the upscale feel going and provide easier access to the third row.
When it comes to cargo space, the Explorer doesn’t disappoint behind the third row, you'll find enough space for groceries or a lot of small items. Folding down the second and third rows provides a much larger cargo area. Whether it be sporting gear, suitcases for a family trip, and/or bigger items, the Explorer is versatile enough to carry it all.
What engine & transmission options are available?
It includes a number of powertrains, which bestow different needs for driving. The base-line 2025 Explorer features a 2.3L EcoBoost® I-4 engine producing 300 horsepower with 310 lb.-ft of torque. Most of the models encompass this, so it should work just fine for daily driving due to its good balance of power and efficiency.
The ST would yield 400 horsepower with 415 lb-ft of torque on the 3.0L EcoBoost® V6. It's mated with the ten-speed automatic gearbox, which delivers fairly smooth shifts while running down the highway normally or through city streets. The paddle shifters also come as part of the ST trim for an engaging driving feel
This is because the Timberline trim, for more serious ones out there, provides standard all-wheel drive and off-road-focused feature additions, which make it perfect for adventurous drivers needing that extra bit of off-road prowess.
What’s the mileage of the 2025 Ford Explorer?
Fuel economy varies depending on what kind of engine and drive configuration one opts for. The most fuel-efficient is a 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 with rear-wheel drive, which has a fuel economy of 13.0 km/l. It drops slightly to 12.7 km/l with the same engine and four-wheel drive. The more potent 3.0L EcoBoost V6 in the ST trim trades some efficiency for performance, returning 11.3 km/l.
How safe is the 2025 Ford Explorer?
Safety is a top priority for the Explorer, It has Ford Co-Pilot 360-a suite of advanced driver assistance features-on all models. Platinum and ST trims upgrade to Co-Pilot 360 Assist 2.0, which adds an extra complement of advanced safety features.
You'll get a variety of airbags: front, side, and canopy airbags among others, which protect the occupants from various forces of collision. Meanwhile, higher trims of the Explorer also offer adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, and a 360-degree camera.
How many color options are there?
The 2025 Ford Explorer offers a wide range of color options . It has the more conservative-selling colors like Oxford White, Agate Black, and Iconic Silver as well as Rapid Red and Star White which are some of the outgoing colors that the Explorer gets to give it an edgy feel for most of those who don’t want the usual colors.
Should you buy the 2025 Ford Explorer?
The 2025 Ford Explorer balances well between power, comfort, and technology-all the things one would want from a mid-size SUV. Its various trims certainly have something to suit just about every driver-from families needing space and safety features to performance purists seeking a sportier ride.
With its added interior and upgraded safety features, the Explorer is a great fit for families, while the rugged capabilities lie in the Timberline trim for those wanting to venture off the beaten path. Undoubtedly, the 2025 Explorer will help tackle anything from the daily grind to weekend getaways.
What are my alternatives?
If you seek other mid-size SUVs, some of the key rivals of Explorer include Patrol, Land Cruiser, Q7 and Suburban. Although each of these models offers powerful performance and an assortment of features, Explorer shines for blending power, tech, and flexible pricing.

Variant
Which Variant of the 2025 Ford Explorer is Value for Money?
Ford is offering the Explorer in primarily three variants in Saudi Arabia.
Explorer Active 200A is a base variant and so gets pretty much any working feature, not anything very fancy or tech and at an affordable SAR 186,400 price. However, you still get huge space, good driving dynamics along with all the necessary safety and features. This variant has no panoramic sunroof, No memory function for the driver seat and side view mirror, and comes with the 18-inch aluminum wheel.
Explorer Active 200A with Comfort variants is your middle option where you spend relatively high money, SAR 213,045, but get over and above the base variant including a Rear sensor, Rear view camera, Cruise control assist Plus and Standard 6 speakers, and panoramic sunroof with power Shade and 20-inch Luster Nickel Painted aluminum wheels. While retaining the same engine and seating configuration as the standard Active model, Anyone willing to spend a little extra would love to go for this variant for the obvious addition.
Explorer Platinum 600A is the top end variant that is available in Saudi Arabia, will cost you SAR 220,700, and is loaded with the top features including Illuminated entry with Ambient Lighting, Front and Rear sensors, 360-degree camera, Adaptive Cruise control, B&O, sound systems by Bang and Olufsen, 980 Watt, 14 speakers including subwoofer Panoramic sunroof with power Shade, Auto dimming rear view mirror, Massage seats, memory function for driver seat and side view mirror and 20-inch Luster Nickel Painted aluminum wheels. Comes with all the bells and whistles, top features ensuring a premium and luxurious feel and offering advanced features.
Sayarabay Recommends: The 2025 Ford Explorer facelift steps up the game in the three-rows family SUVs segment with this total revamp. While this massive SUV retains its key strengths that we love it but also add some convincing, frankly much-needed upgrades. Overall, the Explorer comes across as a remarkably packaged, big sized SUV, and if you’re someone who prefers the American brand and are looking for a powerful and reliable car for your family, the new 2025 Explorer fits the bill quite convincingly.
Verdict
Ford seems to have found the perfect balance between performance and practicality with this new three-row SUV. The newest, revamped Explorer with its rear-wheel-drive architecture and smooth, flexible suspension underpinnings, delivers an engaging driving experience. The 2025 Explorer offers remarkable value as a performance SUV and could be a great family car, not just for long road trips for families, but it could also take on everyday traffic with ease in Saudi Arabia.
