  Driving the BAIC BJ30 has been a nice surprise. It looks strong and cool. The car seating is high, so I feel comfortable and safe on rough roads and when I go off-road sometimes. Inside, there is plenty of space for my family and our bags, which is great for trips on weekends. The BAIC BJ30 screen and controls are easy to use, so I can stay connected without any problems. The car has many useful and tech features. The ride is smooth when I drive in the city, and it handles bumps well.

  The BAIC X7 is designed really well, doesn’t look like the typical Chinese car, like the plush sleek silhouette with its aerodynamic efficiency, improving fuel economy. Then obviously the streamlined design not only looks impressive but also lower wind resistance. The rugged and aggressive front grille, further complemented by sharp LED headlights, gives the X7 an imposing road presence, providing strength and sophistication. Not just exterior but the cabin also give the SUV a great value including the large panoramic sunroof allowing natural light.

  At a price starting from around SAR 100k, the X7 SUV from BAIC is a perfect car in almost every way you can think of. I can tell this from my personal observation and the time I spent at the company showroom. The exterior of the car is modern no doubt, and I think the interior is also quite plush and elegant. And then finally, the SUV is packed with the latest bells and whistles that you want in a car of this price. It is getting a lot more than you find in the segment at a very attractive price point. I know this is only because the Chinese automaker is trying to grab customers from the other established brands, and so if you don’t mind a new brand but good car, then the X7 from BAIC could be your next SUV. I’m definitely tempted.

  The X55 mid size SUV is packed with segment best features both on the inside and outside. I’m especially impressed with the store body, multiple sensors out the outside of the car for parking, the automatic parking assistance, intelligent adaptive cruise control and 360 panoramic images, autonomous emergency brakes and many more are segment best. Then the SUV has a 1.5L engine with 138 kW of power and a very high 305 Nm of torque for your everyday duties and every small size family trip. I consider this X55 a good urban SUV that is priced well at the segment and could gather good interest among buyers. I’m certainly impressed with whatever I saw in the car, and would recommend anyone in the market right now for a budget SUV.

  I got a chance to visit the BAIC showroom in Madinah, and I checked the X 35 SUV. I liked the overall design and look of the car, it is a nice fit into the semi compact SUV segment for small families’ needs. The interiors too are not bad either, with simple yet modern cockpit design, it appears quite premium and welcoming. In the SAR 60K price segment, you are getting a good deal, and I’m now taking a closer look at my first SUV of a new brand. However, it is refreshing to see Chinese automakers are not aggressively making inroads into the Saudi Arabian car market.
