Saudi Arabia: FREELANDER is preparing to showcase the FREELANDER 8 at the 2026 Chery International User Summit in Wuhu, China, following the brand’s global launch in Abu Dhabi on 29 September 2026. The model brings together British-inspired design, intelligent cabin technology and electrified all-terrain capability. The brand is now using the upcoming summit to introduce its first strategic model to international media, content creators, dealer partners and other guests.

For Middle East audiences, the FREELANDER 8 stands out for its plug-in hybrid-style range capability, dual-motor all-wheel drive and a cabin centred on a large 8K display.

FREELANDER 8 Heads to the Chery International User Summit

The 2026 Chery International User Summit will take place at Chery Auto’s global headquarters in Wuhu, China, under the theme “ECO-TECH FOR OUR FUTURE LIFE”. The event will bring together users, media representatives, and ecosystem partners to explore developments in green technology and connected ecosystems as Chery continues its transformation into a global high-tech green ecosystem enterprise. During the summit, international guests will get their first international test-drive experience of the FREELANDER 8, including on-road and off-road sections with wading challenges. The vehicle will also be displayed for visitors to examine more closely.

FREELANDER will additionally host international guests at FREELANDER Nightfall, a British-themed brand evening in Wuhu. The event will feature Mornine, an embodied AI humanoid robot from Chery International’s AiMOGA brand. According to the announcement, more than 3,000 AiMOGA robots have been delivered across more than 60 countries and regions.

FREELANDER 8 Design Combines British Heritage and Modern Technology

FREELANDER positions the FREELANDER 8 around three product pillars: British Craftsmanship, Smart Confidence and All-Terrain Freedom. The exterior draws on the brand’s design heritage through a Castle-Style Body Design, Signature Interlocking Headlights and an Iconic Triangle Window. These elements give the vehicle a distinctive identity while supporting the brand’s focus on premium design. Inside, the First Row Commander Seat provides an elevated driving position. The Surround View Gallery forms the centrepiece of the cabin, featuring a 46.3-inch 8K Mini LED far-side screen. The intelligent cockpit is powered by Qualcomm’s SA8295P automotive-grade chip. Together, the display and computing platform are intended to support the vehicle’s digital cabin experience.

Driver Assistance and Intelligent Parking Technology

• L2+ Driver Assistance: Comes standard with more than 30 driver-assistance functions to support the driver in various driving situations.
• Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP): Supports automated parking and vehicle recall in compatible parking environments in selected markets.
• Driver Supervision: These technologies assist the driver but do not replace the need for attention and control.
