Dongfeng Nissan is banking on its latest N7 EV as it has announced that in the first month of sales, it received orders for 17,215 units of the sedan. The vehicle was launched on April 27 and is the first of nine new energy models Nissan plans to introduce in China by summer 2027. The company started delivering the N7 to customers in China on May 15.
Performance, Comfort and Technology
The N7 EV can be availed in either a 58 kWh or a 73 kWh battery pack. The smaller battery delivers 215 hp, while the larger one provides 268 hp. It can travel up to 635 km on a single charge.

This vehicle features the Navigate on Autopilot system, a smart driver-assist feature built in partnership with Momenta, a top autonomous driving firm in China. It also features many modern technologies, including a zero-pressure seat with an AI-powered system that adjusts the seat based on sensor data.
Inside, the N7 is packed with advanced features, including a 15.6-inch infotainment screen that keeps you connected. It offers luxury aspects like a cooled compartment, DeepSeek AI integration, 256GB of storage, a 14-speaker audio setup, and ambient lighting available in 256 colours.
Variants
The N7 comes in three versions to suit different needs: Max, Pro, and Air. The Max and Pro models are equipped with two types of batteries. Prices of the N7 EV range from around USD 17,000 to 21,000.
Targeted at Young Families
The N7 is designed mainly for young families who value both fun and spending quality time together. Its comfort, trusted brand, and affordable price have made it popular. This has led to many orders and attracted new customers. Most buyers are under 35 years old, and 70 per cent are purchasing a Nissan for the first time.

Upgradation of Sales Network
Dongfeng Nissan is making extreme changes to its NEV sales network to improve customer experience. In stores, the company has set up a new model where ordering, delivery and after-sales service are kept separate. It has built over 100 NEV distribution centres and more than 500 order centres throughout China.
For online, the company has upgraded its app so customers can schedule maintenance, track progress in real-time and join a community space to connect with others.
