March 17, 2025: Chery has officially launched the Fengyun T9 hybrid in China, offering 5 and 7-seater options. It aims to be a game-changer with a modern design, hybrid efficiency and advanced technology.

The Chery Fengyun T9 is a hybrid luxury SUV from the Chinese manufacturer. It is expected to hit the UAE roads by July this year. Sporty and muscular from the outside, it gets hidden flush door handles that provide a cleaner design. Moreover, the Fengyun T9 has a spacious cabin and is driven by a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Engine and Performance

The Chery Fengyun T9 is a plug-in hybrid SUV. It is powered by a 1.5-liter TGDI high-efficiency hybrid engine paired with an electric motor. The hybrid powertrain produces a combined power output of 355 horsepower and 530 Nm of torque. All the variants except the top variant have a 120km claimed range, whereas the top-of-the-line variant has a 210km all-electric range.

With fast charging, the electric battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes. However, fully charging the SUV from a slow charger takes 3 hours, while the top variant takes 5.5 hours for the same. It has a 70-liter fuel tank capacity and returns a fuel efficiency of 19.23 kmpl.

Safety

The 2025 Chery Fengyun T9 comes with modern safety features. It has a strong chassis and 8-10 airbags. The Fengyun T9 also gets ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), which includes safety features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, traction control, hill descent control, lane assist, and anti-lock braking system.

Additionally, the SUV has an IP68-rated waterproof battery pack, which makes driving in the rain and over water crossings hassle-free.
