How to Authorize a Vehicle on Absher

It is very fast and secure to authorize vehicles in Absher. After logging into your Absher account, go to “My Vehicles,” select the car, and click “Issue Driver Authorization.”

You’ll need to enter the driver’s ID or Iqama number and date of birth. Then, select whether it’s for local or international use and set the start and end dates. Once confirmed, the authorized driver can use the vehicle legally during that period.

Steps to Authorize Through TAMM

Another platform to issue driving authorization is TAMM. To do this, log into your TAMM account and go to “Authorizations.”

Click “Issue Authorization” and enter the required details. After verifying your mobile number with an SMS code, the authorization will be completed and linked to the selected driver.

Requirements to Authorize a Vehicle

To complete the process, the owner and the authorized driver must meet several documents and conditions:

• Valid national ID for the vehicle owner.
• Updated Istimara (vehicle registration).
• Valid vehicle insurance.
• A valid driver’s license for both parties.
• An exit and re-entry visa (for residents only).

Important Terms and Conditions

The authorization must follow some rules. The vehicle owner must initiate the process and both parties should have active Absher accounts.

The vehicle must be insured, inspected, and have no unpaid traffic violations. The driver must not be on a final exit visa. Also, the authorization period should not exceed the expiry of the car registration, license, or visa.

• Internal Driving Authorization: SAR 1.75.
• International Authorization: SAR 35.
• International Public Transport: SAR 60.
• Internal for Visitor: SAR 3.

How to Cancel, Print, or Check Authorization

To cancel, log into Absher, go to “My Vehicles,” choose the vehicle, and click “View Driving Authorization.” Scroll down and click “Cancel Authorization.” A verification code will be sent to your phone to confirm.

• To print, follow the same steps and click on “Print” under “Vehicle Authorizations.”
• To check, go to “e-Services” > “My Vehicles” > “Authorized Vehicles.”
