Hyundai IONIQ 6 N Set to Turn Heads at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Hyundai Motor Company is preparing for the debut of its highly anticipated IONIQ 6 N at the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed. The event starts at 12:30 BST or 20:30 KST on July 10, 2025. Before the show, Hyundai is offering a sneak peek of the car’s advanced performance features, which show it as a next-generation electric sports sedan. These features highlight the next level of N brand power.

Revamped Suspension

The suspension system is completely redesigned. Its low ride height, thanks to the sedan shape, is paired with special suspension geometry. This improves handling compared to the IONIQ 5 N. It has a lower roll centre and wider caster trail, boosting steering feel, feedback, and self-centering. 

The electronically controlled dampers, called ECS, help drivers feel more confident. They balance comfort with sharp handling.

Unique N e-shift / N Active Sound

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 N also improves the N e-shift system. Now, it works in all driving modes with closer gear ratios inspired by motorsport. For better feedback, a new N Ambient Shift Light appears, showing the ideal shift points to optimise performance.

Boosted N Drift Optimizer

Another upgrade is the N Drift Optimizer. Drivers can now fine-tune how drift features respond. It offers more options for those who want to control their drifts better. This shows Hyundai’s focus on giving an engaging driving experience through smart electronics.

Cinematic Teaser Video

Hyundai has also released a teaser video for the IONIQ 6 N. It shows the car’s sleek silhouette in action on a track. Recent images reveal a sporty profile built for stability at high speeds. Its aerodynamic performance and design are highlighted by features such a motorsport-style rear spoiler, lightweight wheels, a broader stance, and flared fenders.

Public unveiling of the IONIQ 6 N will take place at Goodwood. A dedicated booth including interactive features like race simulators and photo ops will be put up by Hyundai's performance brand. Visitors who complete all activities will get exclusive access to the N grandstand, offering a great view of the famous hill climb.

Revolutionizing the High-Performance EV Segment

The IONIQ 6 N stands for Hyundai's strong push into high-performance electric cars. It builds on the success of the IONIQ 5 N, aiming to shake up the EV market with fun driving. Its core qualities include agility, racetrack ability, and everyday usability.

Joon Park, Vice President of Hyundai’s N Management Group, says the car is made to deliver the most engaging EV driving experience. He says Hyundai N will once again challenge the idea that electric cars are only about numbers, not fun.
