• February 27, 2026: Skoda added a 200 kW plug-in hybrid to the Superb Hatch for key European markets, offering 400 Nm and 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. Skoda has not confirmed this powertrain for Saudi Arabia.
• February 6, 2026: Skoda opened its first Saudi showroom in Jeddah with SAMACO Motors. Al Khobar and a Riyadh flagship are planned next, widening access for buyers considering the Superb flagship sedan.
• January 22, 2026: Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Commerce recalled older Skoda Superb units from model years 2015 to 2017 over a faulty driver airbag inflator. Owners should stop driving and contact SAMACO Motors for a free repair.
