GMC Terrain (2012-2021) 1.5L SLE AT FWD 5DR

The 2025 GMC Terrain gets the amazingly powerful 1.5L turbocharged inline-4 engine, giving 175 hp of power. Mated with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), it promises smooth acceleration and efficient power delivery for both city driving and highway cruising. The Terrain also stands out for its greater fuel efficiency, and the cabin is also of far more premium and latest tech is further bonus. In totality, the Terrain in this 2025 avatar mixes power, efficiency, and versatility.

The Terrain has received quite significant updates in its 2025 version, and now becomes better to take on fierce competition in the mid-size segment. The key things include the new 1.5L engine which is now turbocharged with 175hp of solid power, your driving is going to be a lot better now. Then comes the infotainment which is again a new one and gets a lot more advanced, the 15 inch premium infotainment including built-up Google integration for navigation and apps, well connecting to your smartphone, and I liked the minor changes to the exterior they add to the appeal.

GMC is coming up with the 2025 facelift of the Terrain, and I think with the much needed changes, it is going to be one of the bargain buys in its segment. The 1.5L turbocharged engine is well-known, and gives you great power, tuned nicely with the 8-speed automatic. I hope GMC improves the cabin and offers more compared to its predecessor, and also extra features too within reasonable price. Still, overall I would say the Terrain with its 2025 facelift could be a good buy in the compact SUV segment as a whole package.

The 2025 facelift is coming to the Kingdom soon, maybe Jan or Feb 2025, and I’m waiting to see what GMC has done to the Terrain. Being a long time fan of this full-size SUV, I wanted them to offer a refined engine along with some improvements in the cabin interior. Apart from that the SUV is just awesome, and looks like getting new tech and some extra features. The Terrain is an affordable SUV for everyday use, and I hope they price it sensibly to appeal to a lot of new SUV buyers.

I’m expecting the 2025 revamped of this SUV to make it better in several aspects, the major one is design and features but also may be a more refined and powerful engine. While the Terrain is an overall capable SUV that has good off-roading capabilities as well, however, it lacks the punch against its rivals, and if it gets good features and a good aggressive look, it would be great. The Terrain in the last two generations has evolved a lot, and looks like the upcoming third generation will get a chance to make some radical changes.

The GMC Terrain starting from SAR 120,000 is a highly affordable entry level SUV available in the Kingdom. Despite a compact size, the GMC Terrain has a spacious cabin along with top-class features like the heads up display, surrounding vision, sunroof, LED headlamps, etc. The cabin is designed with modern styling and a nice layout of dashboard. On top of it all, the superb handling and excellent driving of this SUV is just awesome.

The GMC Terrain is a dependable compact SUV, it is a perfect mix of comfort and practicality. It is a solid choice for anyone looking for extra space without committing to a larger vehicle. The turbo charged engine provides ample power for everyday use and the fuel economy is better than big engines. It is a great choice for city driving. The interiors are comfortable, the infotainment is user friendly and the audio system is great.
