Renault unveils a new hybrid SUV, the Symbioz

SAUDI ARABIA : In 2024, we can see a surge in the production of SUVs, exemplified by the unveiling of Renault’s all-new Symbioz. With this addition, the SUV range of Renault has been expanded to five models. Positioned between the Austral and Captur, the three-row Symbioz caters to urban families and boasts a customizable and versatile interior.

E-Tech 145 hybrid engineThe Symbioz measures 1,797 mm wide, 4,413 mm long, and 1,575 mm high. Its front design is similar to the Captur and it boasts Renault's logo-inspired details. However, designers have also incorporated distinctive elements like sculpted rear lights and flowing side panels with a 3D 'ice cube' effect.
The front portion of Symbioz’s interior bears similarities with the new Captur, featuring a 10.4-inch portrait infotainment touchscreen along with Android Automotive OS. A 10.3-inch screen is also present for important driving data and for climate control, it comes with physical toggle switches. The rear seating is quite spacious in Symbioz and it can perfectly accommodate up to three individuals. Due to its extended length, it offers increased knee room. You can slide forward its versatile rear bench to expand boot space up to 624 litres. The rear bench can also be folded flat for 1,582 litres of space.
The Renault Symbioz will be equipped with the E-Tech 145 hybrid engine that is being used in the Captur and Clio models. It offers the combination of a 1.6L petrol engine, a 1.2kWh battery, and two electric motors offering 147hp combined output.
Renault currently sells the Koleos, Megane Sedan, Megane RS, and Duster in the UAE.
