Mark Your Calendars! Huawei Set To Launch New Luxeed and Aito Models on August 25

Saudi Arabia : The new models are also likely to make their way into the Saudi Arabian market later.

Huawei is all set to launch its fresh range of electric vehicles. The new models will be launched under its Luxeed and Aito brands. The launch event is set for 25 August. This Huawei new car launch event will feature the updated Luxeed S7 electric sedan and R7 coupe SUV. It will also showcase the fully electric Aito M8 SUV and the revised Aito M7 SUV.

The launch event will be held on 25 August, at 2:30 PM (Beijing Time). Both Luxeed (Huawei’s joint venture with Chery) and Aito (Huawei and Seres' joint venture) will present these new models. The updated Luxeed S7 and R7 come first, offering powerful electric options. The fully electric Aito M8 will join the stage, along with the new Aito M7.

Pre-sales for the new Luxeed cars began on 8 August. Starting prices stand at 258,000 RMB (about $35,900) for the S7 and 268,000 RMB ($37,332) for the R7. Within the first hour, Huawei secured over 10,000 pre-orders, highlighting the strong demand. The Huawei car price for the M8 BEV model starts from 378,000 RMB (52,655). The brand kicked off pre-sales for this version in July.

Luxeed S7 Key Highlights

The new Luxeed S7 offers two main versions. Drivers can choose between single-motor rear-wheel drive (215 kW) and dual-motor all-wheel drive (365 kW). The S7 can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 5.4 seconds or as fast as 3.3 seconds, depending on the model. 

Its 800V “Giant Whale” battery platform enables a driving range of up to 855 km. A quick five-minute charge can add up to 215 km of range.

Luxeed R7 Key Highlights

The Luxeed R7 coupe SUV comes with sporty looks with plenty of space. It measures 4,956 mm long, 1,981 mm wide, and has a 2,950 mm wheelbase. Buyers can pick from four trims and two battery options — 82 kWh or 100 kWh — with a driving range as far as 802 kilometres. 

The suspension features Huawei's smart Tuling system. The coupe also features Huawei ADS 3.0 driver assistance for semi-autonomous driving.

Aito M8 BEV Key Highlights

The Aito M8 BEV is a large all-electric SUV. It is 5,190 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and has a wheelbase of 3,105 mm. Inside, you’ll find five or six seats, luxury Nappa leather and black ash wood finishes. Dual electric motors offer 392 kW (526 hp) of power. 

Battery options include LFP or NMC with 36 or 52 kWh capacity, offering ranges up to 310 kilometres. The car gets features including a 75-inch vertical head-up display and advanced driver support.

Aito M7 Key Highlights

The updated Aito M7 is larger than before. It now measures 5,080 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, 1,780 mm high, and comes with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. It brings a stronger challenge to the SUV market with advanced powertrains and new features.
