The celebrated Korean automaker, SsangYong Motor has officially rebranded itself as KG Mobility (KGM), as the company shifts its gears to incorporate futuristic technologies in the world of mobility. The rebranding is a bold leap of the automaker into the future, as they shift their focus to EVs, autonomous driving, and AI integration. 

A Legacy of Innovation

Established in 1954 as Ha Dong-hwan, the company went through significant transformations. It was in 1988 that it came to be known as SsangYong Motor. Now, it will operate as KG Mobility, carrying the legacy as the manufacturer of some of the most popular SUVs in Korea. 

These include models like Torres and Tivoli. The transition defines the commitment of the company to remain at the forefront of the SUV and electric vehicle segments.

The Brand’s New Slogan

The popular automaker has come up with a new slogan, “Go Different. KG Mobility”. It defines the ambition of the brand as it is committed not only to producing vehicles, but to lead the development of next-generation cars.
