Get ready for the new Dodge Charger Sixpack! Dodge has finally shared exciting details, including pricing, for this much-awaited petrol version of their iconic muscle car. It's coming with two power options, plus, you get all-wheel drive as standard. Need just rear-wheel drive? You can switch it easily.
Powertrain and Performance
Dodge is packing all its knowledge into this car. It uses the proven eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system from past Charger and Challenger models. The real innovation here is the brand-new twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine.
It sounds different, more like a Toyota or Nissan engine than a classic Dodge powerhouse. This new engine promises serious performance.
The first Scat Pack models arrive with a potent Hurricane engine. This engine packs 550 hp and 719 Nm of torque. Dodge claims this setup hits 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds with the quarter-mile pass taking only 12.2 seconds. A less powerful Hurricane engine powers the Charger R/T, offering 420 hp and 635 Nm of torque. You can already find these engines in the Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Ram 1500.
Every model includes a limited-slip differential, and a line lock for drag racing is also standard. A rear-drive mode channels all engine power with a launch control. Twin Garrett turbochargers offer 30 psi of boost. This means 90 per cent of peak torque is available from 3,000 to 6,000 rpm. The top speed of the performance car reaches a thrilling 177 mph.
Looks
Like other Dodge vehicles, the new Chargers use Performance Pages. You can track your quarter-mile and sprint times easily. There are multiple drive modes: Auto, Eco, Wet/Snow, Sport, and Custom to choose from. Eco mode transfers more power forward while the sport mode prioritises rear-wheel drive. Custom mode lets you tailor every setting for a unique driving experience.
In terms of design, Dodge refrained from giving a retro look to the new Charger. Designers drew subtle inspiration from past Chargers and Challengers. This new Charger is wider than the old one, with large air intakes for cooling the engine. The Daytona differs from the Sixpack as it lacks the R wing for aerodynamics. The Daytona also has a Power Dome hood for its petrol engine.
New 20-inch wheels with a diamond-cut finish give the car a solid stance. All Chargers feature white LED lights while the rear taillights have a red "ring of fire." They surround a lit-up Fratzog logo. A new colour, Green Machine, joins the list of other striking colours that include After Dark, Diamond Black, Peel Out, Bludicrous, Redeye, White Knuckle and Triple Nickel.
Interior and Comfort
The cabin echoes the Daytona's design. A 10.25-inch screen for instruments sits beside a 12.3-inch centre display. This main screen angles towards the driver. Ambient lighting enhances the mood while a sporty steering wheel, flat at the bottom, and a pistol grip gear shifter are key touchpoints.
You can choose from heated black Nappa leather seats or Demonic Red Nappa leather seats. Plus trims offer high-backed seats with fixed headrests. That same option pack adds more amenities like eight-way powered seats, illuminated door handles and proximity wake-up with a Dodge welcome light as well.
Further, you get 64 interior light colours, wireless charging, a 16-inch digital cluster, a surround-view camera and a head-up display.
Pricing
Bookings for the 2026 Dodge Charger Sixpack will open August 13 with dealership arrivals happening in late 2025. The price of the 420 hp Charger R/T will start at $51,990, including destination fees. The 550 hp Charger Scat Pack will cost $56,990. Those who want the four-door model will have to pay $2,000 extra.
