Infiniti QX80 Expert Review
Team SayaraBay says
The Infiniti has given its premium SUV a makeover, officially entering into its third generation. The QX80 got some of the most significant changes both inside and out, and is ready to take on some of the most popular rivals in this high-end luxury SUV segment in KSA. Infinity has introduced the all-new 2025 QX80 in early 2025 in KSA. There is a lot more to this SUV than meets the eye, and in our in-depth review, we attempt to tell you everything you need to know, before making a decision, as to whether this very well could be your next family SUV.
Interior
Inside, a true opulent and luxurious experience awaits you, and this is pretty clear the moment you’re inside. The cabin is a super example of what Infiniti means luxury and premium experience, with fine Japanese design philosophy which combines practicality with quality material, cutting-edge tech and thoughtful design, to offer a special time whenever you’re driving around
Design
- Infinity says the interior is inspired by the Japanese principle of miyabi, which focuses on elegance and refinement, which is very much visible.
- The quilted semi-aniline leather seats in burgundy colour make the design classy
- The open-pore wood trim blended with aluminium accents is visually appealing
- The overall cockpit with dual infotainment display looks plus and nice
- The additional touchscreen for HVAC and drive mode controls gives a good look and easy access.
- Perhaps the most attractive of all inside the cabin is the 64-colour personalised ambient lighting
- And, a Soundproofed cabin ensures a serene and quiet environment, so you hardly feel outside noise.
Driving Position
- This is a premium, high-end SUV, and this is abundantly clear the moment you get on the driving seat. You sit high, commanding position, get brilliant visibility and are completely at ease.
- Power driver seat with lumbar support and standard tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel for intuitive controls allows for your personal preference and adjustment
- The larger windows and slim pillars allow superior visibility, aiding parking and cruising through the city or highway with ease.
- The special invisible Hood View technology enables a virtual perspective of the front wheels for accurate navigation.
- Likewise, the front wide view technology gives you a 180° view ahead for extra confidence and safety while driving
Passenger Comfort
- Seats up to eight passengers with second-row captain’s chairs or eight passengers with a bench seat configuration, making it truly luxurious and spacious.
- There is a lot of space, you won’t run out of it, and so you are assured of enough ample headroom, legroom, and thigh support across all three rows, and families have nothing to complain about during their long road trips.
- Then, since it is a premium SUV, you get heated and massaging leather seats for an unforgettable experience and rivalled comfort across all seats.
- The tri-zone climate control system with available biometric cooling gives you personal choice to maintain comfort throughout the cabin.
- As expected, there are several USB-C charging outlets available for passenger convenience.
- Then the adjustable head restraints in the rear rows improve passenger comfort and safety.
Storage
- The cooled centre console compartment keeps items fresh and chilled.
- A standard spacious glove box for additional storage for wallets, papers and other stuff
- Also, door pockets give extra space for storing bottle holders and extra stuff.
- Multiple cup holders throughout the cabin so you never run out of space
- Front seatback pockets give space to keep documents or other cables or devices like tablets.
Boot Space
- The QX80 is a huge SUV, and there is no shortage of space for people and cargo.
- At the boot, you get 2,860 litres of cargo room with second and third-row seats folded down.
- The Motion-Activated Liftgate enables hands-free access to cargo space when your hands are full.
- You can access the front-row centre console touchscreen or cargo area controls.
- Also, you get to raise or lower second-row captain’s chairs and third-row bench seats for flexible cargo space.
- Can boot is designed in such a way that allows for quick adaptation to shifting and moving cargo

Ride and Handling
- At the heart of the QX80’s performance is the rugged and powerful 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 450 hp, paired with a smooth 9-speed automatic transmission. And, it won’t really disappoint you, is what our experience told us.
- The ride quality is also enhanced by the superbly tuned air suspension, with electronically controlled shocks that are standard on most trims. This provides you with the much-needed adjustable ride height and damping for greater comfort, ease and off-road abilities.
- We noticed, the air springs come into offering a soft, cushioned ride when you encounter any bump or pothole or sharp dips.
- One thing that came out brilliantly during our drive is how Infinity has given the QX80 a complete makeover compared to its previous generations for a natural steering that balances lightness at low speeds and stability at higher speeds. This certainly deserves a lot of attention and appreciation.
- When you’re faced with rough terrain or a gravel situation, we found that the QX80 retains a truck-like feel due to its body-on-frame construction.
- Another aspect is the steering, which felt heavier at times but definitely refined than that previous generation and scores well against its rivals. Because the electric assist allows hands-free driving features with the ProPilot Assist 2.1.
- Overall, the cabin is much quieter and smoother, completely isolated from road noise, and you truly feel driving a high-end SUV. So, in a nutshell, the QX80 is a fun-to-drive SUV with giant power and smoother handling, bringing a simple on your face.
Features
This most exquisite SUV is the pinnacle of luxury and comfort, which is further bolstered by the most exciting and latest technology and features. This is aimed to make your time inside the cabin truly unique and provide you ultimate connectivity, entertainment and comfort through its plethora of features.

- Individual Audio gives you isolated sound zones via headrest speakers.
- Advanced directional microphones pick up only the driver’s voice for clear phone conversations, which makes life a lot easier for the driver
- The infotainment and display are a huge draw of the cabin. This includes Dual 14.3-inch infotainment displays with an instinctive Live Wallpaper that adapts to the weather and time of day.
- The latest Head-Up Display, which shows key info like speed limits and navigation onto the windshield.
- You get standard wireless Apple CarPlay for seamless iPhone integration, and this is the first Infiniti model with wireless Android Auto
- For staying charged-up, there is a Wireless charging pad.
- The Biometric Cooling essentially automatically detects body temperature, and then helps adjust fan speed; all of this makes your cabin experience exclusive

Variant
The 2025 Infiniti QX80 is available in four variants in KSA
Sensory 4WD (Captain’s Chairs)
Start at SAR 520,000, this is a base variant, and so you get relatively lower features and technologies. However, the performance with a powerful and reliable twin-turbo V6 is uncompromised. Further, you get all-wheel drive, 20-inch wheels, quality Klipsch audio, and ProPILOT Assist 1.0.
Sensory 4WD (Bench Seat)
This Sensory variant replaces captain’s chairs for a second-row bench, which basically expands seating capacity to eight, without increasing price. And, so, most of the features are the same, making it ideal for families who prefer extra seating and also more luggage space is a preference.
Autograph 4WD (Captain’s Chairs)
With this variant, the price shoots up to SAR 590,000, but then you get extra premium features, including 22-inch wheels, burgundy leather seats, and advanced biometric cooling.
Autograph 4WD (Bench Seat)
This top-end variant combines the Autograph’s premium features with an eight-seat configuration, catering to families who want the ultimate in luxury and space, and are willing to pay the extra to get everything that is on offer.
Sayarabay Recommends: If you are looking to pick up the most suitable variant among the four that are available in KSA, then the QX80 Sensory Captain Chairs should be the one. The reason is simply, it seems to tick all the right boxes when it comes to luxury, technology, and perhaps, most importantly, the price. You get a capable and refined powertrain, which assures a strong and unrivalled performance with the smoothest handling. Then, you would notice, the Sensory variant also gets all the premiumness inside the cabin, which includes premium leather, heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, and second-row captain’s chairs that slide and recline electronically, providing the typical first-class comfort. Overall, the Sensory is a combination of everything the QX80 has on offer, and could be the best bargain.
Verdict
The 2025 Infiniti QX80 has impressed us beyond our expectations, be it the performance of the V6 engine, a lot of impressive tech and equally appealing is the top-class luxury with high-quality, durable material. You’re assured of a great, comfortable drive and ride experience every single time. Nissan has improved the Infiniti considerably over its predecessor, making it quite a compelling choice among its prominent rivals in the segment. So, what did we like?
Well, the QX80 undoubtedly scores a lot in its exterior design, followed by the promising twin-turbo V6 engine with mighty power. Then comes the pure luxury inside with an opulent and classy interior with some special features. We liked the SUV’s off-road capabilities, assisted by multiple drive modes, and even the city drive was pretty decent for a car of this size. However, there are a few areas that need a little attention, which is more important in overall refinement, given the price point, customers would frankly expect more in features and technologies already present. The QX80 has some very deserving rivals, but if you look beyond the traditional brand and are willing to bet on Nissan Infiniti, then the QX80 could be your pick.
Other Cars to Consider
- Cadillac Escalade: Segment leader known for its true luxury, space, distinct style and of course the powerful V8 engine.
- Mercedes-Benz GLS: The German luxury brand’s GLS is another great pick in the segment, which comes with refined handling, high-quality interiors, Mercedes' promise of performance.
- Lexus LX: You could also pick a Japanese rival, the LX from Lexus, which has a proven track record of reliability, off-road capability, and a luxurious cabin.
- Lincoln Navigator: Another equally compelling choice from the American brand, where you’re offered a spacious interior and strong towing capacity.
- BMW X7: A sporty, fun-to-drive and huge SUV with a lot of tech.
